(4) Remove the bolt (15) and the clamp (20) that attach the harness 4204KS to the bracket at station 233.
(5) Remove the two bolts (15) and the two clamps (25) that attach the harness 4204KS to the brackets between stations 233 and 239.
(6) Cut the lockwire and remove the screws (75) and the clamp (45) that attach the harness 4204KS to the fire detector element 4001WD1-A.
(7) Remove the nut (55) that attaches the wire (50) to terminal C of the fire detector.
(8) Remove the nut (60) that attaches the wire (65) to terminal A of the fire detector.
(9) Remove the nut (95), the washers (90), the lockwasher (85), and the bolt (80) that attach the ground wire (70) to the bracket.
(10) Remove the harness assembly 4204KS from the engine.
(11) Put blanking caps on the electrical connectors.

A. Removal of the Channel A Fire Detector Harness Assembly (4204KS)
(Ref. Fig. 401A/TASK 71-52-43-991-303-A)
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector 452VC-A from the core junction box.
(2) Remove the two bolts (5) and open the two clamps (10) that attach the harnesses to the pylon. Remove the harness 4204KS from the clamps. Install the bolt (5) and tighten it with your hand.
(3) Remove the bolt (15) and open the clamp (40) that attaches the harness assemblies to the bracket at station 233. Remove harness 4204KS from the clamp. Install the bolt (15) and tighten it with your hand.

(9) Remove the nut (95), the washers (90), the lockwasher (85), and the bolt (80) that attach the ground wire (70) to the bracket.
(10) Cut the lacing tape that attaches the thermal blanket (30) and remove the harness from the thermal blanket (30).
(11) If necessary, remove the thermal blanket (35).
(12) Remove the harness assembly 4204KS from the engine.
(13) Put blanking caps on the electrical connectors.
