(15) TORQUE the screws (75) to between 8 and 10 lbf.in (0.09 and 0.11 m.daN).

 (16) Safety the screws (75) with lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8127 mm) (Material No. CP8001) or lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8127 mm) (Material No. CP8002)

 A. Installation of the Channel A Fire Detector Harness Assembly (4204KS) (Ref. Fig. 401A/TASK 71-52-43-991-303-A)
 NOTE : When using fiberglass clamps on the engine core harnesses, do as
____ follows: Wrap fiberglass adhesive tape (Material No. CP2208) around the harness(es) to make sure that the clamps do not move when they are installed. Wrap only the locations where the clamps are being installed.
 NOTE : Before you tighten the clamps, adjust the wire harness to get the
____ maximum clearance between the harness and the other structures on the engine. Make sure that the harness will not touch other structures.
 (1) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.

 (2) Put the harness 4204KS in position on the engine.

 (3) Connect the electrical connector 452VC-A to the core junction box.

 (4) Put the two clamps (10) on the harness 4204KS. Attach the clamps to the pylon with the bolts (5).

 (5) Put the harness 4204KS into the thermal blanket (30) and (35), as required.

 (6) Use a new piece of lacing and tying tape (Material No. CP8003) at each eyelet set. Tie the lacing and tying tape (Material No. CP8003) in a square knot.

 NOTE : Do not tighten the lacing and tying tape (Material No. CP8003)
____ too much. There must be a clearance between the thermal blanket flaps.
 (7) Put the harness into the clamp (40). Attach the clamp (40) to the bracket at station 233 with the bolt (15).
 NOTE : Make sure that the Installation Reference Markers are aligned
____ under the clamp. The Installation Reference Markers are fiberglass tape on the harnesses.

 (8) Put the harness into the clamp (20). Attach the clamp (20) to the bracket at station 233 with the bolt (15).

 (9) Put the two clamps (25) on the harness. Attach the harness to the brackets between stations 233 and 239 with the bolts (15).
 (10) TORQUE the bolts (15) to between 20 and 25 lbf.in (0.22 and 0.28 m.daN).

 (11) Clean the mating surfaces:

_______ INJURY OR ILLNESS IF NOT CORRECTLY USED. BEFORE YOU USE THIS PRODUCT, READ THE APPLICABLE MANUFACTURER'S "MATERIAL DATA SAFETY SHEET" AND OBEY THE SAFETY AND HEALTH PRECAUTIONS.
 (a) Clean the mating surfaces of the ground wire terminal and the bracket with trichloroethane (Material No. CP1011) and a lint-free cloth.
 (12) Attach the ground wire (70) to the fire detector element 4001WD1-A with the bolt (80), the lockwasher (85), the washers (90), and the nut (95).

 (13) TORQUE the nut (95) to between 20 and 25 lbf.in (0.22 and 0.28 m.daN).

 (14) Attach the wire (65) to terminal A with the nut (60). TORQUE the nut

 (60) to between 25 and 30 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.33 m.daN).

 (15) Attach the wire (50) to terminal C with the nut (55). TORQUE the nut

 (55) to between 20 and 25 lbf.in (0.22 and 0.28 m.daN).

 (16) Turn the harness until the index mark is at the top center on the clamp (65). Attach the harness 4204KS to the fire detector element 4001WD1-A with the screws (75) and the clamp (45).

 (17) TORQUE the screws (75) to between 8 and 10 lbf.in (0.09 and 0.11 m.daN).

 (18) Safety the screws (75) with lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8127 mm) (Material No. CP8001) or lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8127 mm) (Material No. CP8002).

 B. Do an electrical-bond resistance check.
 (1) Put one lead of the ohmmeter on the ground wire near the ground stud.

 (2) Put the other lead of the ohmmeter on the top surface of the bracket.

 (3) The resistance measured between the ohmmeter leads must not be more than 0.0025 ohm.

 (4) If the resistance is more than 0.0025 ohm, remove the applicable hardware and clean the mating surfaces. Do this procedure again until the resistance is less than 0.0025 ohm.
