(b) TORQUE the screws to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.90 m.daN).

 (c) Apply a bead of RTV 106 (Material No. CP2267) between the upper forward seal fitting and the inner flanges.

 (5) Install the upper struts as follows: (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 78-36-42-991-301, 402/TASK 78-36-42-991-302, 403/TASK 78-36-42-991-303)

 (a) Attach the upper struts with the bolts and washers.

 (b) TORQUE the bolts to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.90 m.daN).

 (c) Safety the bolts with lockwire 0.032 in. (Material No. CP8001) or lockwire 0.032 in. (Material No. CP8002).

 (6) Install the upper outer seal fitting as follows: (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 78-36-42-991-301, 402/TASK 78-36-42-991-302, 403/TASK 78-36-42-991-303)

 (a) Attach the upper outer seal fitting with the screws, the bolts and the washers.

 (b) TORQUE the bolts and screws to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and

 0.90 m.daN).

 (7) Install the outer flanges as follows: (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 78-36-42-991-301, 402/TASK 78-36-42-991-302, 403/TASK 78-36-42-991-303, 404/TASK 78-36-42-991-310, 405/TASK 78-36-42-991-311, 406/TASK 78-36-42-991-312, 407/TASK 78-36-42-991-304, 408/TASK 78-36-42-991-306)

 (a) Apply RTV 106 (Material No. CP2267) between the lower stops and the lower stops and the outer flanges No. 9 and No. 10.

 (b) Attach the outer flanges with the bolts, the washers and the nuts. Do not torque the nuts. (Ref. Fig. 407/TASK 78-36-42-991-304)

 CAUTION : TO PREVENT MISMATCH, MAKE SURE THE OUTER FLANGE IS HELD
_______ TIGHTLY AGAINST THE ENGINE FLANGE. NO MISMATCH IS ALLOWED OR DAMAGE MAY OCCUR.
 NOTE : Do not install bolts in holes 1, 2, 4, and 5 of both sides
____ when you install the outer flanges.
 (c) Tighten the nuts, checking the gaps between the engine flange and the outer flanges. (Ref. Fig. 407/TASK 78-36-42-991-304)
 NOTE : You can use the HIX3013-OG outer flange locator tool to
____ secure the outer flange during adjustment. (Ref. Fig. 408/TASK 78-36-42-991-306)
 (d) TORQUE the outer flange nuts to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.90 m.daN).

 (e) Apply a bead of RTV 106 (Material No. CP2267) between the upper outer seal fitting and the outer flanges No. 1 and No. 2.

 (f) Install the bolts and nuts that install the acoustic panel to the outer flange.

 (g) TORQUE the nuts to between 65 and 75 lbf.in (0.73 and 0.84 m.daN).

 (8) Install the upper strut and upper channel bracket as follows: (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 78-36-42-991-301, 402/TASK 78-36-42-991-302, 403/TASK 78-36-42-991-303)
 (a) Attach the channel bracket with the bolts and the washers.

 (b) TORQUE the bolts to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.90 m.daN).

 (c) Attach the upper strut with the screws.

 (d) TORQUE the screws to between 45 and 53 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.59 m.daN).

 (9) Install the hold-open rods and attachment fitting as follows: (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 78-36-42-991-301, 402/TASK 78-36-42-991-302, 403/TASK 78-36-42-991-303)
 (a) Install the lower bracket. 1 Apply a thin layer of molykote G rapid (Material No. CP2104)
_
 on the crankpin locator.

 2 Install the crankpin between the two cheeks.
_ 3 Install the three spacers, the washers, the bolts and the
_
 nuts.

 4 TORQUE the nuts to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.90
_
 m.daN).

 5 Attach the lower bracket to the outer flange with the bolts,
_
 the washers and the nuts.

 6 TORQUE the nuts to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.90
_
 m.daN).

 (b) Install the hold-open rod and the upper bracket on the outer flange.
 1 Attach the upper bracket to the outer flange with the bolts,
_
 the washers and the nuts.

 2 TORQUE the nuts to between 70 and 80 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.90
_
 m.daN).

 (c) Install and attach the hold-open rod to the lower bracket with the quick release pin.
