A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the access platform is in position.

A. Installation of the Rod Supply Junction Pipe
(1) Remove the protective covers from the pipe ends. R (2) Lubricate the packing (20) with thrust reverser hydraulic fluid.
(3) Put the packing (20) on the fixed end of the upper rod swivel joint.
(4) Install the swivel joint on the rod supply junction pipe.

(5) TORQUE the swivel joint to between 260 and 300 lbf.in (2.93 and 3.39 m.daN).
(6) Put the junction pipe in position on the forward frame.
(7) Attach the junction pipe to the middle hydraulic line bracket with the nut.
(8) TORQUE the nut to between 370 and 410 lbf.in (4.18 and 4.63 m.daN).
(9) Connect the upper rod supply hose to the swivel joint.
(10) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 130 and 150 lbf.in (1.46 and 1.69 m.daN).
(11) Connect the junction pipe to the lower rod swivel joint.
(12) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 130 and 150 lbf.in (1.46 and 1.69 m.daN).
(13) Connect the rod supply pipe to the middle hydraulic line bracket.
(14) TORQUE the coupling nut to between 235 and 260 lbf.in (2.65 and 2.93 m.daN).
(15) Attach the lower head shield to the forward frame with the bolts and nuts.
(16) TORQUE the nuts to between 61 and 70 lbf.in (0.68 and 0.79 m.daN).
(17) Attach the upper head shield to the middle hydraulic line bracket with the bolts.
(18) TORQUE the bolts to between 27 and 30 lbf.in (0.30 and 0.33 m.daN). NOTE : Apply a witness line of finish paint EA4 blue 5991 (Material
____ No. CP2245) on all nuts and connections after they are torqued.
