(2) Insulation before crimping
 (Ref. Fig. 004) 
R  - Move the Nomex approximately 50 mm (1.9685 in.) rearward (detail 
R  C).
 - Install the heat-shrinkable sleeve ABS0061 on the wire (detail D) 
R  over the kapton and flush with stripping.
 - Retract the sleeve. 
R  - Make a mark on the sleeve 10 mm (0.3937 in.) from the stripped 
R  area. Do this to let you do a check of the cable insertion in the 
R  terminal barrel at the time of crimping.
 (3) Crimping procedure
 (Ref. Fig. 005)
 - For method 1 with one sleeve (ABS0916):
 Install the heat-shrinkable sleeve (1) on the wire.
 - For method 2 with two sleeves (E0484 and E0718):
 Install the heat-shrinkable sleeve (3) on the wire.
 Install the heat-shrinkable sleeve (2) on the wire.
 - Install the terminal on the tool.
 - Put the flat part of the terminal on the side of the fixed die.
 - Operate the tool to put the ram in contact with the terminal
 barrel. 
R  - Be careful not to cause damage to it.
 - Put the wire into the terminal. 
R  - Make sure that the wire is correctly engaged related to the mark on 
R  the sleeve. 
R
 - Operate the foot pump.
 - Stop the crimping operation when the pressure of the power unit is 
R  between 560 and 600 bars (8122.11 and 8702.26 PSI).
 - Move the locking lever laterally. 
R  - Push the release pedal to let the ram move back.
 - Remove the crimped terminal. 
R  - Move the Nomex braid forward to the terminal barrel above the 
R  ABS0061 sleeve. 
R 
R  - The crimping is correct when the gauge mark shows clearly.
 (4) Insulation procedure
 (Ref. Fig. 005)
 (a) For method 1 with one sleeve (ABS0916):
 - Install and retract the heat shrinkable sleeve (1) on the
 terminal.

 (b) For method 2 with two sleeves (E0484 and E0718):
 - Install and retract the heat shrinkable sleeve (2) on the
 terminal. 
R  - Do not install the second sleeve until the first sleeve is 
R  fully cool.
 - Install and retract the heat shrinkable sleeve (3) on the
 terminal.
 ____NOTE : Make sure that there is no insulation on the contact part 
R  of the terminal to make sure that there is electrical 
R  continuity.

R R  ____NOTE : If there is a repair, terminal E0422 is a temporary alternative for terminal E0466. 
R R R  Because this is a temporary repair only, replace the terminal with the basic definition at the subsequent C-check or in less than 18 months.
R R R R R R  (1) Wire stripping - Remove the Nomex braid for the length A (detail A). - To prevent damage to the aluminum cable wires, make a circular cut around the kapton jacket but do not cut through its full thickness (detail B). - Engage a tube or the terminal on the cable. - Move the tube in the four directions to break the kapton jacket (30 deg. maximum circular travel).
