(d) Move the sprocket [32] and chain [31] up from the bottom of the control stand.
1) Put the sprocket [32] on the splined end of the shaft [27].
2) Move the shaft through the sprocket.
(e) Put the bushing [33] on the splined end of the shaft [27].
1) Move the shaft through the bushing.
(f) Move the shaft [27] through the bearing [34] until the end is moved out through the short
shaft [37].
(g) Install the bearing [28] on the left side of the shaft.
(h) Install the clamp-up bushing [36] on the right side of the stabilizer trim shaft [27].
(i) Install the bearing [35] on the right side of the shaft [27].
(j) Lightly tap the shaft [27] from the left side.
NOTE: Do this step to make sure that the assembled parts are tight and in the correct
position.

(3) Do these steps to activate and adjust the stabilizer trim assembly:
(a) Remove the temporary wire tie from the chain [31] and sprocket [32].
(b) To adjust the stabilizer control chain, do this task: Stabilizer Control Cable and Chain
Adjustment, TASK 27-41-00-820-801.

(4) Do these steps to connect the flap lever syncro assembly (Figure 401):
(a) Put the link assembly [20] in the clevis for the flap lever position syncro assembly.
(b) Install the nut [18] and the bolt [19].

(5) Do this step to connect the flap indicator assembly:
(a) Install the bolt [17], washer [15], washer [14], and nut [16] in the link assembly [13] and
indicator assembly arm.

(6) Do these steps to activate the speed brake lever:
(a) Go into the access area under the forward flight compartment floor.
1) Remove the rig pin from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585 from the forward drum of the speed
brake assembly.
2) Do this task: Speed Brake Control Lever Adjustment, TASK 27-62-00-820-801.

(7) Install these covers on the control stand.
(a) Install the upper left cover [12].
1) Install the three screws [50].
(b) Install the upper right cover [21].
1) Install the three screws [51].

(8) Install the control stand access covers:
(a) The left upper side panel [1].
1) Attach with four screws [2].
(b) The left lower side panel [5]:
1) Attach with five screws [2]
(c) The right upper side panel [3]:

1) Attach with four screws [2].

(9) Install the stabilizer trim wheel assemblies:
(a) Install the right stabilizer trim wheel [7].
1) Install the right bolt [8].
2) Tighten the bolt [8] to 150 in-lb (16.9 N
m) - 170 in-lb (19.2 N
m)
(b) Install the left stabilizer trim wheel [11]:
1) Set the crank of the left stabilizer trim wheel [11] 75 to 105 degrees away from the
setting of the crank on the right wheel.
NOTE: This can be set in either direction.
2) Install the left bolt [8].
3) Tighten the bolt [8] to 150 in-lb (16.9 N
m) - 170 in-lb (19.2 N
m).

(10) Do a visual check of the assembly:
(a) Move each control through its usual range.
