1) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 8 and 9.
(k) Slowly move the left thrust lever aft until there is continuity between pins 8 and 9.
1) Make sure the clearance between the speed brake lever dog [4] and the detent plate
assembly lip [5] is 0.0200 to 0.0400 inch (0.5080 to 1.0160 millimeters).
(l) Slowly move the left reverse thrust lever forward until there is no continuity between pins 8
and 9.
1) Make sure the speed brake lever dog [4] is 0.0100 inches (0.2540 millimeters) above the
detent plate assembly lip [5].
(m) Move the left reverse thrust lever to the down and stowed position.
1) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 8 and 9.
(n) Slowly move and the right reverse thrust lever aft until there is continuity between pins 8
and 9.
1) Make sure the speed brake lever dog [4] is 0.0400 to 0.0600 inches (1.0160 to 1.5240
millimeters) above the detent plate assembly lip [5].
(o) Slowly move the right reverse thrust lever forward until there is no continuity between pins
8 and 9.
1) Make sure the speed brake lever dog [4] is 0.0100 inches (0.2540 millimeters) above the
detent plate assembly lip [5].
(p) Move the right reverse thrust lever to the down and stowed position.
1) Make sure there is no continuity between pins 8 and 9.

(2) Install screws [1] and washers [2] to attach the cover plate [3] on the control stand.

SPEED BRAKE ARMED SWITCH AND SPEED BRAKE HANDLE POSITION SWITCH - REMOVAL/
INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the speed brake armed switch (S276) and the speed brake handle position switch
(S918).
(2) An installation of the speed brake armed switch and the speed brake handle position switch.
(3) An adjustment of the speed brake armed switch and the speed brake handle position switch.
(a) The speed brake armed switch and the speed brake handle position switch must be
adjusted together because they have the same attaching bolts.
