 E. Inspection of the NLG Leg Assembly

 Make sure that the NLG leg is correctly attached to the aircraft structure.

 Make sure that the safety devices are correctly installed and in good condition.

 (3)
 Examine the NLG leg assembly for signs of corrosion, cracks, scores, distortion and wear. Make sure that there are no hydraulic leaks at the unions. Examine the chrome plating of the shock absorber.

 (4)
 Make sure that:

 -There is no hydraulic fluid leakage at the drain hole at the base of the turning tube below the upper torque link.
 -The drain hole is clear and dry.

 (5)
 Examine the torque link assembly. Make sure that:

 -It is correctly installed.
 -There is no damage or wear.

 (6)
 For the NLG shock absorber, do a check of:

 -
the hydraulic fluid level (Ref. TASK 12-12-32-611-001),

 -
the charge pressure (Ref. TASK 12-14-32-614-004).

 Make sur that the protective finish on the surfaces is not damaged. Clean and repair the protective finish if necessary.

 F. Inspection of the Hydraulic Lines
 (1) Examine all the hydraulic lines.Make sure that:
 -The hydraulic lines are correctly installed and safetied.
 -There are no signs of fretting from vibration or pressure surges.
 -All the hydraulic lines are correctly connected in the applicable locations and are not twisted.

 Examine the elbows and the unions that connect the pipes to the components for:

 -distortion, cracks and damage from shocks.

 Make sure that there is a clearance between all the pipes and the adjacent structure.

 (3)
 Make sure that:

 -There are no signs of hydraulic fluid leakage at the unions.
 -The unions and the pipes are correctly installed and safetied.

 Make sure that all the brackets, support blocks and clamps are correctly installed.

 H. Inspection of the Hydraulic Equipment in the Nose Gear Well
