Put match marks on the cables before you loosen them.

Loosen the turnbuckles (31) from the cables (32) and (33).

Remove the cables from the pulley assembly (34).

A. Replacement of the Shear-Pins
(1)
Turn the pulley assembly (34) so that the shear-pins are accessable.
(2)
Remove and discard the cotter pins (35).
(3)
Remove the castellated nuts (36) the washers (37) and the bolts (40).

Remove the lock plates (38).
(5)
Remove the top half of the shear-pins (39).
(6)
Use a parallel pin punch and push the sheared-off part of the shear-pins through the pulley assembly (34).
(7)
Remove the debris from the pulley assembly (34).
(8) Clean the pulley assembly (34) and the adjacent area. R (9) Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-024B) to the new shear-pins (39)
(10)
Make sure that the shear-pin holds in the pulley assembly (34) and in the pulleys (41) are in line.
(11)
Install the shear-pins (39).
(12)
Put the lock plates (38) in position.
(13)
Install the bolts (40) the washers (37) and the castelled nuts (36) and lock them with cotter-pin (24).
(14)
Install and adjust the MLG free-fall extension cables (32) and (33) on the pulley assembly (34) (Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 32-33-17-991-002)
(a)
Put the cables (32) and (33) in position in the pulley assembly (34).
(b)
Connect each cable to its related cable with the turnbuckles (31)
(c)
Temporarily attach the locking pins (30).
(d)
Adjust the free-fall extension cables (Ref. TASK 32-33-00-820-003).
(e)
Do a cable tension check on the free-fall extension cables that were loosened (Ref. TASK 32-33-00-200-001).

(b)
Install the cabin floor covering (Ref. TASK 25-28-41-400-001).
(c)
Install the passenger seats that were removed (Ref. TASK 25-21-41-400-001).

1. General

A. Tires, Wheels, Brakes The main gear wheels have multidisc carbon brakes that two sets of independently supplied pistons operate; the Green hydraulic system supplies one set, the Yellow hydraulic system supplies the other set with the aid of one brake Yellow pressure accumulator. Each brake has automatic adjusters, two wear pin indicators and a temperature sensor. The main gear wheels include fusible plugs which protect the wheel and the tire against burst if an overheat occurs. The wheels have radial tires.
