 1) Measure the clearance between the outboard edges of the doors and the fuselage skin (View B-B, Fig. 402). 2) Measure the clearance between the right and the left doors (View C-C, Fig. 402). 3) Measure the clearance between the forward edges of the aft doors and the forward doors (View D-D, Fig. 402). 4) Measure the clearance between the aft edges of the doors and the fuselage skin (View A-A, Fig. 402). 5) If one or more clearance is too small, trim the applicable door edges to get the correct clearances.
 NOTE: You can not adjust the part of the hinge that is on

 the door.

 (b)  Hold the doors closed with your hands and do the steps that follow to make sure the flushnesses are correct:
 NOTE: Table 401 shows expanded tolerances which were permitted
____ at delivery. Use these tolerances only if you cannot get the usual tolerances.
 1)  Make sure the surface of the outboard edge of each door aligned with the adjacent fuselage skin surface (View B-B, Fig. 402).
 2)  If a flushness is not correct, do the steps that follow:

 a)  Remove the skin fairing from the fuselage at the outboard edge of the wheel well door on the aft opening.
 b) Loosen the sidewall hinge fittings attached to the sidewall. c) Move the sidewall hinge fitting up or down as necessary on the serrations (View B-B, Fig. 402).
 NOTE: No adjustment is possible to the hinge fitting
____
 installed on the doors.

 d) Tighten the fasteners for the sidewall hinge fittings.
 e) Install the skin fairing.
 f) Manually close the door and make sure the door operates

 smoothly and that the flushness is satisfactory. g) Do the steps above again if it is necessary. 3) Move the door by hand through its full travel to make sure the door operates smoothly.
 4)  With the doors manually closed against the aft door stop, make sure the flushness at the aft edge of the door surface is aligned with the fuselage skin (View A-A, Fig. 402).
 5) If door does not align in tolerances, adjust as follows: a) Loosen the applicable aft door stop bolt (Fig. 401). b) Close the door manually and hold with the flushness correct (View A-A, Fig. 402). c) Adjust the stop bolt until the bolt touches the stop plate on the aft inboard door surface.
