Procedure

 S 034-007
 (1)  Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the fuse.
 NOTE:____The fuse is in the forward face of Station 1480. You can get the access through the wheel well for the main landing gear.

Seal the hydraulic lines.

 (3)  
Hold the fuse and remove the three bolts.

 (4)  
Remove the fuse.

 (5)  
Remove the hydraulic fittings from the fuse and seal the fuse ports.

Prepare for the Installation

 (1)  
Make sure you do not pressurize the hydraulic systems No. 1 and No. 4 (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Procedure

 (1)  S 434-017Install the hydraulic fittings in the fuse ports with the new O-rings, the gaskets and the backup rings. (a) Lubricate the O-rings, the gaskets and the backup rings with the Skydrol lubricant during the installation.
 (2)  S 434-018Attach the fuse on the fuse bracket with the three bolts and the washers.
 (3)  S 434-019Remove the plugs and connect the hydraulic lines to the fuse.

 (4)  S 864-020Supply the system No. 1 hydraulic power (AMM 29-11-00/201).
 (5)  S 794-021Examine the hydraulic connections for leaks. (a) Bend the truck hoses at the higher end to make sure there is no leak.
 (6)  S 874-022Open the bleed valve to bleed the system on the truck actuator. (a) Permit 1 to 2 pints of hydraulic fluid to flow from the bleed valve. (b) Permit more fluid to flow if the bubbles stay in the system.
 NOTE:____ If the flow stops, hold the manual bypass lever in a up position for two seconds to set the fuse.
 (7)  S 434-023Close the actuator bleed valve.
 (8)  S 284-024Examine the capacity position for the flow fuse. (a) Attach the correct hose to the fitting that bleeds. (b) Let the fluid out of the hose into a container with a minimum capacity of 1 U.S. gallon. (c) Open the fitting with one-half turn. (d) Permit the fluid to flow into the container until the flow stops. (e) If the flow stops, it shows you close the fuse. (f) You must collect 141 |21 cubic inches of fluid into the container
 (9)  S 864-025Hold the manual bypass lever in an up position for 2 seconds to set the fuse.
