clip.
S Push the other end of the tube through the
rubber grommet in the cooling baffles to the
bottom rear of the engine compartment.
S Connect the end to the tee piece in the fuel
pump drain and install the pipe clip.
S Hold the drain tube in its correct position with
cable-ties.
(16) Connect the drain tube to the engine driven fuel
pump and install the pipe clip. Hold the drain tube
in its correct position with cable ties.

(17) Connect the main fuel feed hose to the firewall.
(18) Connect the alternate air control cable:
S Put the control cable in position through the
guide attached to the alternate air control
assembly.
S Install the lock-nut onto the control cable
outer sheath and tighten the lock-nut.
S Push the control cable wire end through the
swivel in the operating ring.
S Make sure that the alternate air control lever
in the cockpit is set to OFF.
S Make sure that the alternate air assembly is
set to the OFF position.
S Move the alternate air control lever in the
cockpit 3 mm (0.125 in) aft from OFF.
S Tighten the screw which attaches the wire
end to the swivel.
S Install the P-clamps and cable ties which hold
the Bowden-cable in the correct position.
Fully forward.
Inlet holes fully closed.
(19) Do a test for the correct operation of the alternate
air control system.
Refer to Section 76-00.
(20) Connect the throttle cable to the fuel injector:
S Move the cable into position through the
bracket at the bottom of the engine.
S Install the front adjustment nut and washer on
the outer sheath. Tighten the nut.
(21) Install the cable eye end onto the throttle cable:
S Install the lock-nut onto the cable end.
S Install the eye-end onto the cable end.
S Tighten the lock-nut.
Use a piece of lock-wire to make sure
that the eye-end is installed correctly.

(22) Connect the cable eye end to the throttle lever at
the fuel injector:
S Move the attachment bolt into position in the
throttle lever at the fuel injector.
S Install a washer on the attachment bolt.
S Install the eye end on the attachment bolt.
S Install a second washer and a nut on the
attachment bolt. Tighten the nut.
From the engine side.
(23) Move the throttle lever in the cockpit between
FULL and IDLE. The throttle control must be
smooth in operation with no restrictions.
(24) Do a test for the correct operation of the throttle
control system.
Refer to Section 76-00.
(25) Connect the mixture control cable at the fuel
injector:
S Move the cable into position through the
rubber grommets in the engine cooling
baffles.
S Install the top adjustment nut and washer
onto the control cable outer sheath.
S Push the cable through the support bracket at
the bottom of the engine.
S Install the bottom adjustment nut and washer
on to the control cable outer sheath. Tighten
the nut.
(26) Install the cable eye end onto the mixture cable:
S Install the lock-nut on the cable.
S Install the eye end on the cable.
S Tighten the lock-nut.
Use a piece of lock-wire to make sure
that the eye end is installed correctly.

(27) Connect the mixture control cable eye end to the
mixture lever at the fuel injector:
S Move the long bolt into position in the mixture
lever.
S Install the spacer on the long bolt.
S Install the eye end on the long bolt.
S Install the nut and washer on the long bolt.
Tighten the nut.
From inboard.
(28) Move the mixture control lever in the cockpit
between RICH and LEAN CUT-OFF. The mixture
control must be smooth in operation with no
restrictions.
(29) Do a test for the correct operation of the mixture
control.
Refer to Section 76-00.
(30) Connect the propeller control cable to the
propeller governor:
S Move the propeller cable into position through
the rubber grommets in the engine cooling
baffles.
S Install the rear adjustment nut and washer
onto the control cable outer sheath.
