At the front side of the fuel rail.
At the right side of the reduction gear.
At top left of front bearing reduction gear.
At the lower crankshaft cover.
At each fuel injector.
At the lower crankshaft cover.
At the lower crankshaft cover.
% (15) Disconnect both manifold pressure connections. At the engine inlet manifold.
% (16) Remove the intercooler. Refer to Section 81.
(17) Remove the exhaust. Refer to Section 78-01.
(18) Remove the cabin heat heat-exchanger. Refer to Section 75-01.

(19) Remove the cabin heat heat-exchanger shroud:
S Remove bolt, nut and washer on top forward
and bottom forward corners on the shroud.
S Remove bolt, nut and washer on the bracket
at the rear side.
S Remove worm-drive clamp from the hose
between the shroud and the heat valve.
S Move the heat exchanger shroud clear of the
engine.
At the heat valve.
(20) Disconnect the hose from the alternate air valve
to the turbo-charger inlet.
At the turbo-charger.
(21) Release clips, ties and clamps holding the
engine wire harness to the engine.
Move the harness clear of the engine.
(22) Remove the support strut from the turbo-charger.
(23) Remove the oil hose from the turbo-charger cage
tank to the oil return pump.
At the cage tank, front side.
Use a suitable container to catch the
remaining oil in the hose.
(24) Remove the oil hose from the turbo-charger cage
tank to the oil separator.
At the cage tank, rear side.
Use a suitable container to catch the
remaining oil in the hose.
(25) Disconnect the fuel supply hose. At the low-pressure pump.
Remove clamp at the front right hoist
bracket.
(26) Disconnect the fuel return hose. Behind the rail pressure regulator.
(27) Remove the fuel return hose from the injector fuel
leak rail.
(28) Disconnect the vacuum hose at the engine driven
vacuum pump.
Take care of the restrictor.
(29) Remove the bonding cable at the engine near
each engine shock-mount.

(30) Support the airplane at the tail. Use the tail trestle. Refer to Section
07-10.
(31) Attach the sling to the engine.
Attach the sling to the hoist.
There are lifting points at:
S Front right cylinder head.
S Front left of the reduction gear
housing.
S Rear left of the cylinder head near
coolant pump.
(32) Take the weight of the engine with the hoist.
(33) Remove the nuts, bolts and washers that attach
the engine to the engine mount.
(34) Lift the engine a small distance, turn it slightly to
the right side and move it at the same time
forward and clear of the engine mount.
Make sure that the engine does not hit
the engine mount.
(35) Attach the shipping stand to the engine.
(36) Install the turbo-charger support strut.
(37) Remove the coolant bypass pipe.
(38) Remove the oil filler tube:
S Release the attaching bolts.
S Remove the oil filler tube.
S Put caps on the open pipes and connections.
(39) Put caps on the open-end pipes and connections.
(40) Prepare engine for shipping. Note TT hours and reason for removal.
(41) Clean firewall and engine mount.
(42) Examine the engine mount for cracks and
corrosion.

(43) Check lifetime of the elastomer hoses and
replace as necessary.
(44) If engine was removed because of oil system
contamination:
Remove and discard oil radiator and oil hoses.
Refer to Section 79-01.
