S Push the cable through the support bracket at
the bottom of the engine.
S Install the front adjustment nut and washer on
to the control cable outer sheath. Tighten the
nut.
(31) Attach the cable wire end to the propeller
governor lever:
S Push the cable wire end through the swivel.
S Tighten the screw which attaches the wire
end to the swivel. Make sure the cable wire
end is in safety.

(32) Move the propeller control lever in the cockpit
between MAX and MIN. The propeller control
must be smooth in operation with no restrictions.
(33) Do a test for the correct operation of the propeller
control.
Refer to Section 61-20.
(34) Install the engine exhaust assembly:
S Move the exhaust manifold into position on
the cylinder head studs.
S Install the eight washers and nuts on the
cylinder head studs.
S Tighten the nuts.
Use new gaskets!
Use new washers and nuts.
(35) Install the flexible hose between the cabin heat
control valve and the exhaust heat exchanger:
S Move the flexible hose into position.
S Install and tighten the worm-drive clamps.
(36) Install the air inlet and cooling hoses for the oil
cooler and generator:
S Move the air inlet and hoses into position.
S Attach the flexible hose to the generator
cooling duct.
S Install and tighten the worm-drive clamp at
the generator cooling duct.
S Attach the flexible hose to the oil cooler duct.
S Install and tighten the worm-drive clamp at
the oil cooler duct.
(37) Install the exhaust gas temperature probe:
S Install the No. 1 cylinder sensor in the No. 1
exhaust manifold.
S Install the worm-drive clamp.
S Hold the cable in the correct position with
cable ties and P-clamps.
Do this item for each probe.

(38) Connect the electrical plugs to the left magneto
and to the right magneto.
Make sure the ignition switch is set to
OFF.
(39) Install the spark plugs in the cylinder heads. Torque: 47.5 Nm (35 ft.lb).
(40) Install the left ignition harness:
S Move the left ignition harness into position on
the left magneto.
S Install the three screws which attach the
harness to the ignition.
S Connect the ignition cables to the spark
plugs.
Make sure that the cap is seated
correctly.
Make sure that the ignition cables are
connected to the correct plugs.
Torque: Hand-tight then 1/16 to 1/8 turn
with a wrench.
(41) Install the fairlead which holds the top left ignition
cables in the cooling baffle:
S Assemble the fairlead around the cable and
to baffle.
S Install the 2 screws, washers and nuts which
attach the fairlead to the baffle.
(42) Install the right ignition harness:
S Move the right ignition harness into position
on the right magneto.
S Install the three screws which attach the
harness to the ignition.
S Connect the ignition cables to the spark
plugs.
Make sure that the cap is seated
correctly.
Make sure that the ignition cables are
connected to the correct plugs.
Torque: Hand-tight, then 1/16 to 1/8
turn with a wrench.

(43) Install the fairlead which holds the top right
ignition cables in the cooling baffle:
S Assemble the fairlead around the cable and
to baffle.
S Install the 2 screws, washers and nuts which
attach the fairlead to the baffle.
(44) Install the P-clamps which attach the ignition
cables to the left side of the engine cooling air
baffles.
Make sure that the ignition cables can
reach the spark plugs without strain.
(45) Install the P-clamps which attach the ignition
cables to the right side of the engine cooling air
baffles.
Make sure that the ignition cables can
reach the spark plugs without strain.
(46) Install the cable ties that hold the ignition cables
to the left side of the engine mount.
(47) Install the cable -ties that hold the ignition cables
to the right side of the engine mount.
(48) Install the cable ties that attach the left ignition
harness to the right ignition harness.
(49) Do an engine oil level check. Refer to Section 12-10.
