party was a time of great
joy for me. I am so thankful
to all my family and friends

Bylaw No. 30, Capital Cost of Sewer and
Water Construction Enactment of Bylaw
No. 43, Sewer Service Charge Bylaw
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Municipal Council of the
Municipality of the County of Inverness will give Second
Reading to amendments to Bylaw 30 and to give Second
Reading to a new Bylaw 43 at its next scheduled meeting to be
held on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 1:30 pm at the Council
Chambers, Port Hood, Inverness County.
The said bylaws are:
No. 1: The Capital Cost of Sewer and Water Construction
Bylaw which will be amended to provide for the cost recovery
of 50% of the municipal cost of the construction of sewer and
water at Port Hastings and
No. 2: To enact a Sewer Service Charge Bylaw to provide
for the levying of sewer maintenance charge on all properties
serviced by municipal sewer in the Municipality of the County
of Inverness.

PUBLIC HEARING
Bylaw No. 30, Capital Cost of Sewer and
Water Construction
Municipality of the County of Inverness
NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Municipal Council will hold a
public hearing at the Fire Hall, Port Hastings, Nova Scotia
on Tuesday, the 29th day of January, 2008 at 7 pm for the
purpose of receiving representations from the community of
Port Hastings with respect to amendments to Bylaw No. 30,
the Capital Cost of Sewer and Water Construction.
Amendments to said bylaw includes;
Section 10 (1) - the replacement of the word "lot of real
property" with the word "unit" and the addition of definitions
for units as follows:
Single family dwelling - 1 (one) unit
Motel - 1/5 (one-fifth) unit per rental room
Duplex - 2 (two) units
Multiple Family Dwelling - 1/2 (one half) unit per dwelling
Apartment Building - 1/2 (one half) unit per apartment
Retail Outlet - 1 (one) unit
Vacant lot capable of being
created through subdivision - 1 (one) unit
and the addition of Section 14 (j) - In the area served by the
Port Hastings Sewer and Water System, the frontage rate is
hereby set at $10.40 per lineal foot for sewer and $7.43 per
lineal foot for water; and the Trunk Sewer Tax is hereby set at
$1,222.97 per unit; and the Trunk Water Tax is hereby set at
$570.80 per unit
Members of the public are invited to attend and to provide oral
