R  A. Preparation for Installation
 (1) Clean the component interfaces and or the adjacent areas with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026). 
R R  (2) Examine the bushes in each hinge bracket for damage. If necessary replace the bushes (Ref. ASRM 517215). 
R  (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed components are clean and in the correct condition.
 Subtask 57-51-31-420-051 
R  B. Installation of the Aileron-Hinge Support Frames 4 and 5 
R R R (1) Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the mating surfaces of the bolts (51) and (56). 
R  (2) Install the support frames (40) and (44) onto the mounting brackets with the items that follow: - the bolts (51) and (56) - the nuts (48) and (53).
 NOTE : The heads of the bolts (51) and (56) must face inboard.____
 (3) Safety the nut (48) with the new cotter pin (47).
 (4) Safety the nut (53) with the new cotter pin (52).
 (5) Connect the bonding leads (38), (43) and (46) to the support frames (40) and (44) with the bolts (39) and (45) and the nuts (41) and (42) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).

 C. Installation of the Aileron-Hinge Support Frames 1, 2 and 3
 (1) Install the support frames (7), (12) and (17) onto the mounting brackets with the items that follow: - the bolts (23), (28) and (34) - the washers (20), (22), (26), (27), (31) and (33) - the nuts (19), (25) and (30).

 NOTE : The heads of the bolts (23), (28) and (34) must face inboard.

 TORQUE the nuts (19), (25) and (30) to between 0.25 and 0.4 m.daN

 (22.12 and 35.39 lbf.in).

 (3)
 Safety the nut (19) with the new cotter pin (18).

 (4)
 Safety the nut (25) with the new cotter pin (24).

 (5)
 Safety the nut (30) with the new cotter pin (29).

 (6)
 Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the mating surfaces of the tie-beam assembly (35) and the support frames (7), (12) and (17).

 (7)
 Install the tie-beam assembly (35) onto the support frames (7), (12) and (17) with the items that follow:

 -
the bolts (8), (13) and (36)

 -
the washers (6), (9) and (14)

 -
the nuts (5), (11) and (16).
 NOTE : Make sure that the washers (6), (9) and (14) are installed as

 noted in the removal procedure.

 TORQUE the nuts (5), (11) and (16) to between 0.5 and 0.6 m.daN

 (44.24 and 53.09 lbf.in).

 Safety the nut (5) with the new cotter pin (4).

 Safety the nut (11) with the new cotter pin (10).

 Safety the nut (16) with the new cotter pin (15).

 Connect the rear end of the strut (37) to the lug on the support frame (7) with the items that follow:
