 NOTE:____ If you use the C27028 tool, the spacer
 thickness "t" is zero.
 To make sure you get the corrcect Xf, let the
 airplane stay at a constant ambient temperature ///
 |5°F for a minimum of 0.5 hour.

 (11)
 Adjust the input rod of the feel computer (Fig. 509):

 (a)  
Do this task: "Remove the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B" (AMM 27-31-00/201).

 (b)  
Make sure that the B dimension is at 41.57 |0.01 inches.

 (c)  
Open these circuit braekers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

 1)  P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel a) STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR
 CAUTION: DO NOT PUT MORE THAN 300 POUND-INCHES TORQUE ON THE INPUT
_______
 ARM. YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE FEEL COMPUTER.

 (d)  
Make sure you can install the rig pin E-4 freely through the rig pin holes in the computer input arm and the feel computer housing.

 (e)  
If you cannot install the rig pin E-4 freely, adjust the input rod: 1) Remove the bolt that attaches the stabilizer input rod to

 the computer input arm (Fig. 509).
 2)  Install the rig pin E-4.
 3)  Make sure you can install the bolt easily through the input
 rod and the computer input arm.
 4)  If you cannot install the bolt freely, adjust the input rod
 until you can install the bolt easily.
 a)  Tighten the checknut on the input rod.
 5)  Install the bolt that attaches the stabilizer input rod to the computer input arm. 6) Make sure the end of the stabilizer input rod extends more than 1/2 of the distance across the inspection hole.
 (f)  
Remove the rig pin E-4.

 (g)  
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 1)  P6-2 Circuit Breaker Panel
 a) STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR

 (h)  
Adjust the stabilizer position sensor (AMM 22-11-31/501).

 (i)  
Do this task: "Put the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B Back to the Condition Before the Pressure Removal" (AMM 27-31-00/201).

 (12) Do a system test of the elevator and tab control system.

 6.  System Test - Elevator and Tab Control System_____________________________________________
 A. General
 (1)  
This test gives instructions for a system check to make sure satisfactory of all adjustment specifications and performance of the elevator and tab control system. To do this test you must do the checks of these components:

 (a)  
The system test of the elevator surface friction and balance.

 (b)  
The system test of the elevator limit travel.

 (c)  
The system test of the elevator output torque tube bus linkage.

 (d)  
The system test of the elevator tab linkage.

 (e)  
The system test of the manual mode operation.

 (f)  
The system test of the power mode operation.

 (g)  
The system test of the neutral shift operation.

 (h)  
The system test of the mach trim actuator.

 (i)  
The system test of the feel force system and autopilot authority.

 (j)  
The system test of the hydraulic isolation system.

 (k)  
The system test of the sensors null.
