 4) Hold the control column full forward. a) Move the control wheel between the left and right stops. 5) Hold the control column full aft. a) Move the control wheel between the left and right stops. 6) Attach the bubble protractor to the captain's control column.
 7)  Move the control column aft until the column stops are contacted and hold. a) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator moves
 14.60 +0.30/-0.85 inches up from the index mark. b) Make sure the position of the captain's control column is aft of the vertical 7 degrees minimum (Fig. 501). c) Release the control column.
 8)  Move the control column forward until the stops are contacted and hold. a) Make sure the trailing edge of the right elevator moves
 10.55 |0.60/-0.60 inches down from the index mark. b) Make sure the position of the captain's control column is forward of the vertical 19.8 degrees minimum. c) Release the control column.
 9)  Make sure the total travel of the captain's column is 28.4 degrees minimum.
 (b)  
Move the captain's control column slowly aft until the elevator is at 3.90 |0.05 inches up from the neutral position. 1) Hold the control column at this position. 2) Make sure the column force is not more than 42.5 pounds.

 (c)  
Move the captain's control column slowly forward until the elevator is at 3.90 |0.5 inches down from the neutral position. 1) Hold the control column at this position. 2) Make sure the column force is not more than 54.5 pounds.

 (d)  
Remove the bubble protractor from the captain's control column.

Do this task: "Put the Elevator Hydraulic Systems A and B Back to the Condition Before the Pressurization" (AMM 27-31-00/201).

 (1)  
Use the trammel bar to set the B dimension at 41.57 |0.05 inches.

Do this task: "Null Procedure - Mach Trim Actuator" (Ref 27-31-00/201).

Supply the elevator hydraulic systems A and B (AMM 27-31-00/201).

Do a test of the power mode operation:

 (a)  
Move the captain's column lightly in a longitudinal direction to make sure the system is in the center position and release.

 (b)  
Attach the bubble protractor to the captain's column.

 (c)  
Make sure the captain's column position is 6.9 |0.8 degrees forward of the vertical.

 (d)  
Move the captain's column slowly between the forward and aft stops. 1) Make sure the column moves freely and there is no unwanted

 noise in the system.

 (e)  
Attach the bubble protractor to the first officer's column.

 (f)  
Make sure the position of the first officer is 6.9 |0.8 degrees forward of the vertical.

 (g)  
Move the first officer's column slowly between the forward and aft stops. 1) Make sure the column moves freely and there is no unwanted
