 Do these steps to make sure the rudder pedals have the correct travel:

 (a)  Make sure the rudder trim indicator is at zero units of trim.
 (b)  Turn the rudder pedal adjustment crank to move the rudder
 pedals full forward.
 (c)  Do these steps to set the pedal to the middle position:
 1)  Turn the rudder pedal adjustment crank to move the rudder
 pedals full aft.  Keep a record of the number of turns.
 2)  Turn the rudder pedal adjustment crank "half" the recorded
 number of turns forward.  Mark this position as "position
 1" at the pedal pivot points on both the Left and Right
 pedals.
 NOTE:____ You must measure the distance shown below from
 this location.
 (d)  Adjust the rudder pedals to the fully forward position.
 (e)  Push the left rudder pedal forward until the forward quadrant
 touches its stop (this is referred to as position 2 for the
 left rudder pedal).
 NOTE:____ Push the right rudder pedal forward to get position 2
 for the right rudder pedal.

 (f)  Measure the distance (at the piviot of the rudder pedal) from position 1 to position 2.
 NOTE: You must measure this distance for the left and the

 1)  Make sure the distance from position 1 to position 2 is a minimum of 6.86 inches.
 (g)  
Adjust the rudder pedals to the fully aft position.

 (h)  
Push the LEFT rudder pedal forward until the forward quadrant touches its stop (this is referred to as position 3 for the RIGHT rudder pedal).

 NOTE: Push the right rudder pedal forward to get position 3

 for the left rudder pedal.

 (i)  Measure the distance (at the piviot for the rudder pedal) from position 1 to position 3.
 NOTE: You must measure this distance for the left and the

 right rudder pedals.

 1)  Make sure the distance from position 1 to position 3 is a minimum of 6.89 inches.
 E.  Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
