deleted). The other condition is if the program settings file had been customized where
the Run mode is changed to Repeat. To stop an Endless Test press the Stop All button
in the Run Controls section of the Test Executor interface (Figure 2–16). Returning to the
Test Selector interface, an endless test can be detected by the absence of time values in
the Duration column of the selected tests (Figure 2–17).

for details. The number "0" in the Test Number place (fourth character) filters for warm-up
tests. (See "Naming Convention" above and Section A.2.2, Warm-up Tests).

A.2.2 Warm-up Tests
Although not specific to Tables A-E of the ABD0100.1.8, warm-up tests are built into
Tables A, B, C, D, and E in the Test Suite so that they can be run with the test sequences
that are in a given table. Their purpose is to establish a stable and continuous "warm-up"
at a nominal voltage prior to the surge simulation that starts at the beginning of a test
sequence.
In the Test Selector interface, select the table for the test sequences, and enter a "0" in
the fourth character place of the Test Name Filter to display the warm-up tests available
for that table. Refer to the ABD0100.1.8 Standard for requirements.
Each warm-up test is designed to run for one minute before transitioning to the first test
sequence; however, the warm-up time can be increased in 1-minute increments. After
placing the necessary warm-up test in the Selected Tests window of the interface (see
Section 2.6.2), change the value in the Loop Count to match the desired number of
minutes. E.g., to increase the warm-up time to five minutes, change the Loop Count
value to 5).
Next, to select test sequences to follow the warm-ups, delete the "0" from the 4th
character place of the Test Name Filter and input any additional filtering information to
display. Select the desired test sequences and place them in the Selected Tests window
(Section 2.6.2). The entire set of tests (warm-up plus test sequences) can be saved
(refer to Section 2.6.4) and/or executed (Section 2.6.5).

A.2.3 Non-Table Tests
Other tests not specific to Tables A-E of the ABD0100.1.8 Standard, are in-rush current
tests, which simulate the onset of the aircraft's various power buses; they are referred to
herein as non-table tests. For the purpose of implementing these non-table tests, Table
N was created within the ABD100 Test Suite. Each in-rush current test starts with 0
voltage for five (5) seconds, followed by an instantaneous voltage ramp that is also
maintained for five (5) seconds (except DC whose ramped voltage is maintained for 30
seconds). Specific details may be found under the Sub Test Description in the Test
Selector interface.
To find an appropriate in-rush current test, select Table N in the Test Name Filter of the
Test Selector interface. After selecting the test and placing it in the Selected Tests
window, note its duration. Increase the Total Test Time to meet the time requirements of
the ABD0100.1.8 Standard (under Section 2.4.2.3 of the Standard), either by selecting
several tests (as recommended in the Sub Test Description window), or by changing the
value of the Loop Count until Total Test Times reaches a duration that satisfies the time
requirements in the Standard. Table A-2 provides a consolidated summary of the nontable
tests.
