(1) If you install used bolts, bushings, bearings or other components with worn areas, do this task:
Aileron Tab Control Rods Inspection, TASK 27-11-34-200-801.
F. Aileron Tab Control Rods Installation
SUBTASK 27-11-34-420-001
(1) Install the control rod assembly [17]:
(a) Move the aileron trailing edge down.
(b) Put the two control rod assemblies [17] in position, align the rod ends with the attach
fittings.
NOTE: The length of the control rod assembly [17] must be the same as those written
down after the removal.
(c) Connect the control rod assembly [17] to the tab mast with the bolts [19], washers [8],
bushings [18], washers [10], and nuts [11].

1) Adjust the length of the control rod assembly [17] if it is necessary.
2) Tighten the nuts [11] to 50-80 pound-inches (5.6-9.0 newton-meters).
3) Install the new pins [12].
(d) Lift up the aileron trailing edge.
(e) Install the bolts [7], washers [8], bushings [9], washers [10] and nuts [11] to connect the
control rod assembly [17] to the forward fittings.
1) Tighten the nut [11] to 50-80 pound-inches (5.6-9.0 newton-meters) until the next nut
castellation aligns with the hole in the bolt.
2) Install the pins [12].
(f) Install the radial seal [16] and radial seal retainer [15] to the structure with the bolts [13] and
washers [14].

(3) Install the bolts [4] to attach the aft removable fairing [3] to the aileron balance tab [5].

(4) Install the bolts [6] to attach the forward removable fairing [2] to the aileron [1].

(5) Move the aileron control wheel through full travel.
(a) Make sure that the aileron tab moves freely.

(6) Make sure the distance from the tab trailing edge to the extension of the aileron bottom surface
is correct. To measure it, do this task: Aileron Balance Tab Adjustment,
TASK 27-11-00-820-803.

(7) Do this task: Flight Test to Find and Correct Asymmetrical Flight Control Forces ,
TASK 27-11-00-750-801.
