A. Deactivation of the APU Fuel LP-Valve (Actuator P/N B27000)
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 28-29-00-991-001)
(1) Check the position of the APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) at the visual position indicator of the APU fuel LP-valve-actuator (3QF) (1).
R NOTE : Use a FLASHLIGHT and a MIRROR - INSPECTION to see the visual
____ R position indicator.
(2)
If the visual position indicator shows a green bar, the APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) is closed. In this case:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connectors 3QF-A and 3QF-B (2) from the actuator (1).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(c)
Fold the electrical connectors/cables (2) back over the cable clamps and attach them with tie-wraps to a stowage position.
(3)
If the visual position indicator shows a red bar, the APU fuel LP valve (14QM) is in the open position. In this case:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connectors 3QF-A and 3QF-B (2) from the actuator (1).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(c)
Fold the electrical connectors/cables (2) back over the cable clamps and attach them with tie-wraps to a stowage position.
(d)
Hold the APU fuel LP-valve actuator (1) in position and remove the nuts (3), the washers (4) and the bonding strap (5).
(e)
Carefully disconnect the actuator drive shaft from the valve drive shaft and remove the actuator (1).
(f)
Turn the valve drive shaft (7) to the horizontal position (closed position).
(g)
Lock the APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) in the closed position with the
APU fuel LP-valve-actuator (3QM). R

1_ Viewed on the actuator mounting face, turn the actuator drive shaft in counterclockwise (CCW) direction until the visual position indicator shows a green bar (closed position).
R R R NOTE : Do not apply more torque than 0.12 m.daN (10.6194____ lbf.in) to turn the actuator drive shaft. Do not turn the actuator drive shaft in clockwise direction. Make sure that you do not damage the actuator drive shaft when you turn it. You must lock the APU fuel LP-valve with a new actuator: - if you cannot turn the actuator drive shaft within the torque limit of 0.12 m.daN (10.6194 lbf.in) , - if you can turn the actuator drive shaft freely without any torque, or - if the actuator drive shaft is damaged and does not engage correctly in the valve drive shaft.
2_ Put the actuator (1) in position on the studs (9) and carefully engage the actuator drive shaft in the valve drive shaft (7) (closed position).
R 3_ Make sure that the washers (4), the nuts (3) and the bondingstrap (5) are in correct condition.
4_ Install the washers (4), the nuts (3) and the bonding strap (5).
R 5_ TORQUE the nuts (3) to between 0.6 and 0.7 m.daN (53.09 and 61.94 lbf.in).
R R R (4) Put a WARNING NOTICE in position on the panel 25VU (adjacent to the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch), to tell people not to operate the APU (APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) locked in the closed position).
(5) Make an entry in the applicable logbook that you have locked the APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) in the closed position and the APU must not operate.

B. Deactivation of the APU Fuel LP-Valve (with Actuator P/N A08000)
(Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 28-29-00-991-002)
(1)
Check the position of the APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) at the visual position indicator of the APU fuel LP-valve-actuator (3QF) (1).
(2)
If the visual position indicator is in the SHUT position:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connectors 3QF-A and 3QF-B (4) from the actuator (1).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
