Fold the electrical connectors/cables (4) back over the cable clamps and attach them with tie-wraps (8) to a stowage position.

If the visual position indicator is in the OPEN position:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connectors 3QF-A and 3QF-B (4) from the actuator (1).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(c)
Fold the electrical connectors/cables (4) back over the cable clamps and attach them with tie-wraps (8) to a stowage position.
(d)
If necessary, remove the screw (3) and the bonding strap (2).
(e)
Hold the APU fuel LP-valve actuator (1) in position and and loosen the V-Band clamp (6).
(f)
Carefully disconnect the actuator drive shaft from the valve drive shaft and remove the actuator (1).
(g)
Turn the valve drive shaft to the horizontal position (closed position).
(h)
Lock the APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) in the closed position with the APU fuel LP-valve-actuator (3QM).
NOTE : This is an alternative to the locking with the locking

1 Turn the actuator drive shaft in counterclockwise (CCW)
_ direction until the visual position indicator is in the SHUT position.
NOTE : Do not apply more torque than 0.12 m.daN (10.6194
____ lbf.in) to turn the actuator drive shaft. Do not turn the actuator drive shaft in clockwise direction. Make sure that you do not damage the actuator drive shaft when you turn it. You must lock the APU fuel LP-valve with the LOCKING COVER (B12990) as described in Para. (h):
-
if you cannot turn the actuator drive shaft within the torque limit of 0.12 m.daN (10.6194 lbf.in) ,
-
if you can turn the actuator drive shaft freely without any torque, or
-
if the actuator drive shaft is damaged and does not engage correctly in the valve drive shaft.
2 Put the actuator (1) in position on the adapter (7) and
_ carefully engage the actuator drive shaft in the valve drive shaft (closed position).
3 Attach the actuator (1) with the V-Band clamp (6).

4 TORQUE the nuts of the V-Band clamp (6) to 0.13 m.daN (11.50
_
lbf.in).
5 If removed, install the bonding strap (2) with the screw (3).
_
(i) Lock the APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) in the closed position with the LOCKING COVER (5)
NOTE : This is an alternative to the locking with the actuator.

You must lock the APU fuel LP-valve in the closed position with the locking cover:
-
if you cannot turn the actuator drive shaft (in CCW direction) within the torque limit of 0.12 m.daN (10.6194 lbf.in),
-
if you can turn the actuator drive shaft freely without any torque, or
-
if the actuator drive shaft is damaged and does not engage in the valve drive shaft.
R 1_ Put the LOCKING COVER (5) in position on the adapter (7) andR carefully engage its spigot in the slot of the valve drive R shaft (closed position).

2_ Attach the locking cover (5) with the V-Band clamp (6).
3_ TORQUE the nuts of the V-Band clamp (6) to 0.13 m.daN (11.50
lbf.in).
4_ Install the bonding strap (2) with the screw (3).
5_ TORQUE the screw (3) to between 0.6 and 0.7 m.daN (53.09 and
61.94 lbf.in).
6_ Seal the actuator (1) in a polythene bag and put it in a safe
location.

Put a warning notice in position on the panel 25VU (adjacent to the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch), to tell people not to operate the APU (APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) locked in the closed position).
(5)
Make an entry in the applicable logbook that you have locked the APU fuel LP-valve (14QM) in the closed position and the APU must not operate.
