(d)
Hold the element assembly (4) and remove the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the attachment tag (10).
(e)
Remove the shroud-ring (5), the element assembly (4) and the laminated shim(s) (3).
(f)
Remove and discard the O-ring (2).
(g)
Adjust the thickness of the shim (3) until dimension 'x', 'y' and/or dimension 'z' is/are correct.
NOTE : The maximum permitted thickness is 4.4 mm (0.1732 in.).

(h)
Lubricate the new O-ring (2) with FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012).
(i)
Install the O-ring (2) and the laminated shim(s) (3).
(j)
Install the element assembly (4) and the shroud-ring (5) in their correct positions.
(k)
Install the washers (6), the attachment tag (10) and the bolts (7). TORQUE the bolts (7) to between 0.3 and 0.34 m.daN (26.54 and 30.08 lbf.in).

Install the chain (9) on the attachment tag (10). NOTE : The chain (9) is spring-loaded into a protection sleeve on

Install the coupling cap (8) on the coupling (1). CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE HANDLE OF THE REFUEL COUPLING CAP

R (1) Make sure that these dimensions are correct:

R - dimension 'a' must be equal at all positions around the coupling
R cap (8), +/- 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.)
R - dimension 'x' must not be more than 1.0 mm (0.0393 in.)
R - dimension 'y' must not be more than 1.0 mm (0.0393 in.)
R - dimension 'z' must not be more than 0.13 mm (0.0051 in.).
R (2) If dimension 'a' is incorrect:
R (a) Temporarily remove the applicable access panel 522HB(622HB).

R (b) Remove the coupling cap (8) from the coupling (1).
R (c) Remove the chain (9) from the attachment tag (10).
