A. Preparation for Refuel
(1) Do this test:

On the panel 800VU: - put the TEST switch to the LTS position and hold it there. On the panel 800VU:- the HI LVL lights and the DEFUEL XFROPEN light are on.
On the indicator 6QT: - the FUEL QTY displays show all eights for the displays that are serviceable.
On the preselector 5QT: - the PRESELECTED and ACTUAL displays show all eights - the CKPT and END lights come on.
- release the TEST switch. On the panel 800VU:

the HI LVL lights and the DEFUEL XFR OPEN light go back to their initial condition.
On the indicator 6QT:
-
the FUEL QTY displays show the tank quantities for the displays that are serviceable.
On the preselector 5QT:
-
the PRESELECTED and ACTUAL displays show the tank quantities
-
the CKPT and END lights go off.
-put the TEST switch to the HI LVL On the panel 800VU: position and hold it there. - the HI LVL lights change state.
-release the TEST switch. - the HI LVL lights go back to their initial condition.

B. Pressure Refuel with Automatic Control
(1)
On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU:
-make sure that the REFUEL VALVES switches are in the NORM position.
(2)
On the preselector 5QT:
-put the PRESELECTED rocker switch to the INC position and hold it there
-make sure that the number on the PRESELECTED display increases
-when the PRESELECTED display shows the necessary fuel load, release the PRESELECTED rocker switch.
(3)
On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU, put the MODE SELECT switch to the REFUEL position.
CAUTION : DO NOT LET THE REFUEL PRESSURE BE MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM

SAFE PRESSURE OF 50psi (3.45bar).
(4)
Start the pump on the fuel tanker/pump unit.
(5)
On the ECAM lower DU:
-make sure that the fuel quantities increase.

(6) When the fuel is at the set quantity, make sure that:
(a) On the preselector 5QT:
-
the END light comes on
-
the numbers on the ACTUAL and the PRESELECTED displays are stable and the same +/- 100 kg (220.4622 lb).
NOTE : When the wing tanks are not full, the difference in tank
____ quantities must be no more than 100 kg (220.4622 lb).
(b) On the ECAM lower DU:
-make sure that the fuel quantities are correct.
(c) On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU:
-if the tanks are full, the HI LVL lights come on. NOTE : Refer to the fuel tables for the maximum capacity of each
____ tank and for the total fuel capacity (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-007).
(7)
Stop the pump on the fuel tanker/pump-unit.

On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU:
-put the MODE SELECT switch to the OFF and guarded position. Subtask 28-25-00-650-081
C. Pressure Refuel with Manual Control NOTE : Two persons are necessary for this procedure. One at the refuel
____ panel to control the refuelling and one in the cockpit to monitor the fuel quantities. They must be able to speak to each other.
(1) On the refuel/defuel control panel 800VU:
(a)
Put the REFUEL VALVES switch(es) for the applicable fuel tank(s) to the OPEN position.
(b)
Put the REFUEL VALVES switch(es) for the tank(s) which will not be refuelled to the SHUT position.
(c)
Put the MODE SELECT switch to the REFUEL position. CAUTION : DO NOT LET THE REFUEL PRESSURE BE MORE THAN THE MAXIMUM
