 Operate the check-valve (in the element assembly (4)) by hand to drain all the fuel that remains. Remove the container.

 Hold the element assembly (4) and remove the remaining bolts (7) and the washers (6).

 (i)
 Remove the shroud-ring (5), the element assembly (4) and the laminated shim(s) (3).

 (j)
 Remove and discard the O-ring (2).

 (k)
 On the refuel/defuel panel 800VU:

 (l)
 Close the access door 192MB.

 1_ Put the RIGHT REFUEL VALVES switch in the NORM position and
 lower the guard.
 2_ Put the MODE SELECT switch in the OFF position and lower the
 guard.

 (2) If the check-valve in the element assembly will not operate, continue as follows:
 (a)
 Open the access door 192MB.

 (b)
 On the refuel/defuel panel 800VU: 1 Lift the guard and put the MODE SELECT switch in the REFUEL

_ position.
 2 Lift the guard and put the RIGHT REFUEL VALVES switch in the
_ SHUT position.
 (c)
 Remove the coupling cap (8) from the coupling (1). NOTE : The coupling cap (8) will hang by the chain (9) from the

____ shroud-ring (5).

 (d)
 Remove the bolt (7) that attaches the attachment tag (10) to the shroud-ring (5).

 NOTE : The attachment tag (10) will stay connected to the chain
____ (9).
 (e)
 Remove the coupling cap (8) together with the chain (9).

 (f)
 Hold the element assembly (4) and remove the remaining bolts (7) and the washers (6).

 (g) Put a container below the coupling (1).
 (h) Carefully remove the shroud-ring (5) and the element assembly (4), and drain the fuel that remains into the container. Remove the container.
 (i) Remove the laminated shim(s) (3).
 (j) Remove and discard the O-ring (2).
 (k) On the refuel/defuel panel 800VU:
 1_ Put the RIGHT REFUEL VALVES switch in the NORM position and lower the guard.
 2_ Put the MODE SELECT switch in the OFF position and lower the guard.
 (l) Close the access door 192MB.

R R  2_  Lift the guard and put the LEFT/RIGHT REFUEL VALVES switch inthe SHUT position.
