B. Installation of the LP Fuel Valve Actuator
CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT YOU ASSEMBLE THE ACTUATOR WITH THE DRIVE
_______ ASSEMBLY CORRECTLY. IF YOU DO NOT, THE ACTUATOR WILL NOT OPERATE THE VALVE CORRECTLY.
CAUTION : DO NOT TORQUE THE V-CLAMP(S) TO MORE THAN THE SPECIFIED VALUE.

THIS PREVENTS DAMAGE TO THE FLANGE SURFACES.
(1)
Lubricate the new O-ring (4) with COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012).
(2)
Install the new O-ring (4) on the drive assembly of the LP fuel valve (5).
(3)
Make sure that the actuator (2) and the drive spindle (6) stay in the correct configuration.
(4)
Carefully install the actuator (2) on the drive assembly of the LP fuel valve (5).
(a) Make sure that the mating surfaces of the actuator and of the drive assembly touch fully with:
-
the drive key of the actuator spindle engaged with the spindle of the drive assembly
-
the roll pin in the drive assembly engaged with the location hole in the actuator
-
the dowel in the flange of the actuator engaged with the slot of the drive assembly.
(5)
Install the V-clamp (3) and TORQUE the screw (7) to 0.13 m.daN (11.50 lbf.in).

(6) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (1).
(7) Connect the electrical connectors (1) to the actuator (2).

The Refuel/Defuel system controls the flow of fuel into or out of the aircraft. Refuel/defuel operations are controlled from a refuel/defuel control panel in the RH lower belly fairing. A refuel/defuel coupling (installed in the leading edge of the RH wing) is the interface between the fuel tanks and the external fuel source.
