Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Prepare the mating surfaces of the leading edge ribs and the leading edge section for installation.

THIS MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS.
(a)
Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the mating surfaces along the leading edge ribs (1) and (2) and the spar box.
(b)
Apply the release agent, SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-013A) to the mating surfaces of the leading edge section (3).
(3)
Put the crane in position.
(4)
Attach the SLING - DORSAL FIN, LEADING EDGES, END CAP (98D55307531001) to the hoist fittings and to the crane.
(5)
Install the leading edge.
(a)
Put the leading edge section (3) in position.
(b)
Prepare the screws for installation. WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE

Install the washers (6) and the screws (4).
(d)
TORQUE the screws (4) to between 0.4 and 0.5 m.daN (35.39 and
44.24 lbf.in) and make sure that the bonding is correct (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(6)
Make sure the clearance "A" between the leading edge panels is 1 +3 -0 mm (0.0393 +0.1181 -0.0000 in.).
(7)
Remove the sling.
(8)
Remove the hoist fittings.
(9)
Install the plastic plugs into the hoisting points. NOTE : The plastic plugs must make a smooth surface with the leading
SPECIAL MATERIAL.

1_ Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the screws (4) and
the washers (6).

(a) Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to the gaps around the leading edge section (3). Make a smooth contour with the panel and the spar box.
