Remove the screws (9) and the washers (10).
(b)
Remove the lever assembly (7), together with the lanyard (5) and the bracket (6).
(c)
Remove the old sealant from the bracket (6).
(2)
Install the lever assembly (7) on the new access panel:
(a)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the panel attach surfaces of the bracket (6) and the rear of the access panel (15).
(b)
Put the lever assembly (7), together with the lanyard (5) and the bracket (6), in position.

(c) Install the screws (9) and the washers (10) and TORQUE the screws to 0.3 m.daN (26.54 lbf.in).

D. Prepare the components for installation.
(1) Remove the old sealant from the panel attach surfaces on the rudder hinge arms and the spar-box flanges. You must remove the sealant with a nonmetallic scraper.
WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE_______ SPECIAL MATERIAL. THIS MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS.
(2) Clean the panel attach surfaces with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-008).
(3) Examine the panel attach stud-nuts installed on the spar box flanges, the rudder hinge arms and the panel support frames. Make sure that they are in a satisfactory condition.
(4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

A. Installation of the Trailing Edge Access-Panels
WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE SPECIAL_______ MATERIAL. THIS MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS.
R R (1) Apply the release agent, SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-013) to the rear mating surfaces of the trailing edge access-panels.
R NOTE : Do not apply the release agent to the bonding points.____
R R (2) Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the mating surfaces of the panels, the rudder hinge arms and the spar-box flanges.
R NOTE : Do not apply the sealant to the bonding points.____
R NOTE : The installation procedure for one access panel is given, the____
R procedures for all the trailing edge access-panels are almost
R the same.
R (3) For the access panels 325BL, 325BR, 325CL, 325CR and 325DL:
R (a) Put the access panel (15) in position.
R
R (b) Install the screws (11), but do not fully tighten them at this
R time.
R (c) Install the pin (14), the washer (13) and the cotter pin (12).
R (d) Close the access panel (15) (Ref. TASK 55-33-13-410-002), but do
not tighten the studs (8) at this time.
R (4) For the access panels 325EL, 325ER and 325DR:
R (a) Put the access panel in position.
R
R (b) Install the studs (16), but do not fully tighten them at this
R time.
(5) Adjust the access panel to the correct postion:
R (a) Make sure that the distance between the access panels at "a" is 1
+3 -0 mm (0.0393 +0.1181 -0.0000 in.).
(b) Make sure that the clearance between the rear of the access panel
and the rudder at "b" is 1 mm (0.0393 in.).
R (6) Tighten the screws (11) and the studs (16).
R (7) For the access panels 325BL, 325BR, 325CL, 325CR and 325DL:
R (a) Tighten the screws (11) and make sure that the bonding is correct
R (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004) .

(b) Tighten the studs (8).
R (8) For the access panels 325EL, 325ER and 325DR:
(a) Tighten the studs (16).
(b) Tighten the studs (17).
R R (9) Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to the clearance between the access panels.
R R (10) Remove the unwanted sealant with the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-008).
