 If necessary, put the shim (11) in position on the target
 mounting bracket (12).

 (d)
 Align the target (10) with the shim (11) if installed, and install with the washers (9) and the bolts (8).

 (e)
 TORQUE the bolts (8) to 1.5 m.daN (11.06 lbf.ft).

 (f)
 Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) to the bolts (8) and the washers (9).

 (2) For System 1 (18GA), if the dimension Z was adjusted:
 (a) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the mating faces of:
 -
the sensor (6)

 -
the shim (5) if installed

 -
the sensor mounting bracket (2).
 NOTE : Make sure that the shim, if necessary, is installed in the

____
 correct position.

 (b)
 Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-001) to both sides of the shim (5).

 (c)
 If necessary, put the shim (5) in position on the sensor mounting bracket (2).

 (d)
 Align the sensor (6) with the shim (5) if installed, and install with the bolts (7), the washers (4) and the nuts (3).

 (e)
 TORQUE the bolts (7) to 1.5 m.daN (11.06 lbf.ft).

 (f)
 Remove the blanking caps from the applicable electrical
 connectors.

 (g)
 Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity sensor (6).

 (h) Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) to the bolts (7), the washers (4) and the nuts (3).
 (3) For System 2 (19GA), if the dimension Z was adjusted:
 (a) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the mating faces of:
 -
the sensor (23)

 -
the shim (22) if installed

 -
the sensor mounting bracket (21).

 NOTE : Make sure that the shim, if necessary, is installed in the

 correct position.

 (b)
 Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-001) to both sides of the shim (22).

 (c)
 If necessary, put the shim (22) in position on the sensor
 mounting bracket (21).

 (d)
 Align the sensor (23) with the shim (22) and install with the bolts (18), the washers (20) and the nuts (19).

 (e)
 TORQUE the bolts (18) to 1.5 m.daN (11.06 lbf.ft).

 (f)
 Remove the blanking caps from the applicable electrical
 connectors.

 (g)
 Connect the electrical connector (17) to the proximity sensor (23).

 (h)
 Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) to the bolts (18), the washers (20) and the nuts (19).

 (4) For System 2 (19GA), if the dimension X was adjusted:
 (a) Use a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the mating faces of:
 -
the target (14)

 -
the shim (13) if installed

 -
the target mounting bracket (12).

 NOTE : Make sure that the shim, if necessary, is installed in the

 (b)
 Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-001) to both sides of the shim (13).

 Align the target (14) with the shim (13) and install with the washers (15) and the bolts (16).

 (e)
 TORQUE the bolts (16) to 1.5 m.daN (11.06 lbf.ft).

 Apply a layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) to the bolts (16) and the washers (15).
