17 Lock the tab washer (70).

(1) Before installation of the shims (35), (39), (52), (65) or (68) do the steps that follow:
(a) Put the applicable shim(s) fully into a solution of:
-
SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-111) 250 ml/l (57.64 cu.in/US gal)
-
SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-112) 25 g/l (3.32 oz/US gal)
-de-ionized water 750 ml/l (172.93 cu.in/US gal).
NOTE : The solution must be between 45 deg.C (113.00 deg.F) and
____
55 deg.C (131.00 deg.F).
(b) Remove the applicable shim(s) from the solution after 20 to 40 minutes.

(c) Flush the applicable shim(s) with cold water.

WARNING : DO NOT PUT COMPRESSED GAS IN CONTACT WITH YOUR SKIN._______ THE GAS CAN GO THROUGH THE SKIN AND MAKE BUBBLES IN THE BLOOD. THIS CONDITION CAN KILL YOU.
(d) Flush the applicable shim(s) with hot water then dry using compressed air.

R R NOTE : You can install a sensor target without a spacer/shim if the____ correct clearance can be set without the spacer/shim.
(1) For System 1 (24GA), if the dimension X was adjusted:
(a) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the mating faces of: - the sensor mounting bracket (51) - the bracket (66).
NOTE : If the shim is to be installed, make sure that it is____ installed in the correct position.
(b) Apply BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-001) to both sides of the shim (65).
(c) If applicable, put the shim (65) in position on the bracket (66).
(d)
Align the sensor mounting bracket (51) with the shim (65) if applicable, and install with the bolts (48), the washers (62) and the nuts (61).
(e)
TORQUE the nuts (61) to between 0.25 and 0.35 m.daN (22.12 and
30.97 lbf.in).
(f)
Install the target (54) with the bolts (55), the washers (56) and the nuts (57).
(g)
TORQUE the nuts (57) to between 0.25 and 0.35 m.daN (22.12 and
