NOTE : If installed, do not damage the shim (65).____
3_ Remove the nuts (61), the washers (62), the screws (48) and the sensor mounting bracket (51) together with the shim (65) if installed.
R R 4_ If installed, carefully remove the shim (52) with a non-metallic wedge. Discard the shim.
R R R R R R 5_ Install the templates -1 and -2 of the ADJUSTMENT TOOL(M46214) on the target lever (53) with: - the bolts (55) - the washers (56) - the nuts (57).
6_ Make sure that the target lever (53) is parallel with the center-line of the leg.
7_ Put the location lug of the ADJUSTMENT TOOL in the applicable screw hole of the bracket (66).
8_ Use the templates -1 and -2 of the ADJUSTMENT TOOL to measure the dimension Z. Read and write down the dimension Z.
9_ Use the equation below to calculate the dimension Y +/- 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.): Y = 21.0 mm (0.827 in.) - Z
10__ If a shim is necessary, adjust the new shim (52) to get the correct dimension Y +/- 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.).
11__ Remove the nuts (57), the washers (56), the bolts (55) and the ADJUSTMENT TOOL from the target lever (53).
R 12__ If the shim (52) was adjusted, do the procedure in Para. 4.D.
(g) Check the dimension T:
R R 1_ Use a non-metallic scraper to remove all the sealant from theitems that follow: - the nut (71) - the tab washer (70) - the threaded end of the clevis (67).
2_ Unlock the tab washer (70).
3_ Remove the nut (71), the tab washer (70) and the clevis (67)
from the support (69). Do not disconnect the link from the
clevis (67).
R 4_ If installed, carefully remove the shim(s) (68) with a non-
R metallic wedge. Discard the shim(s) (68).
5_ Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with
CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) to clean the mating
surfaces of:
- the clevis (67)
- the support (69).
6_ Temporarily install the clevis (67) onto the support (69). Do
not install the tab washer (70) or the nut (71).
7_ Temporarily install the sensor mounting bracket (51) with the
bolts (48), the shim (65) if necessary, the washers (62) and
the nuts (61).
R 8_ Install the template -3 of the ADJUSTMENT TOOL (M46214) on the
R sensor mounting bracket (51) with:
R - the screws (58)
R - the shim (52)
R - the washers (63)
R - the nuts (64).
R 9_ Move the target lever (53) until it is flush against the
R angular face of the ADJUSTMENT TOOL.
10__ Measure the dimension T.
11__ If a shim is necessary, adjust the new shim(s) (68) to get the
correct dimension T.
NOTE : If installed, do not damage the shim (52).____
12__ Remove the nuts (64), the washers (63), the shim (52) if
installed, the screws (58) and the ADJUSTMENT TOOL from the
sensor mounting bracket (51).
NOTE : If installed, do not damage the shim (65).____
13__ Remove the nuts (61), the washers (62), the bolts (48) and the
sensor mounting bracket (51) together with the shim (65) if
installed.
14 Remove the clevis (67) from the support (69).

R R 15__ If the shim(s) (68) was adjusted, do the procedure in Para.4.D.
16__ Install the clevis (67) onto the support (69) together with the new shim(s) (68) if necessary, the tab washer (70) and the nut (71).
17__ Lock the tab washer (70).
18__ Apply a thick layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-008E) to the threaded end of the clevis (67), the tab washer (70) and the nut (71).
R R (2) For System 2 (25GA), if the dimension X1 or the dimension Z1 is incorrect, do the steps that follow:
(a) Make sure that the target lever (41), the sensor mounting bracket (38) and the bracket (50) are in the correct condition.
(b) Disconnect the electrical connector (47) from the proximity sensor (40).
(c) Make sure that the electrical connector (47) is in the correct condition.
(d) Put blanking caps on the applicable electrical connectors.
