 E. Check of Locking of the Sliding Window in the Open Position
 (Ref. Fig. 413/TASK 56-12-11-991-079)

 (1)
 When you fully open the window, make sure that the locking lever

 (101) engages in the rack (102).

 (2)
 If the locking lever (101) does not engage in the rack (102), do the steps that follow:

 (a)
 Remove the lockwire and loosen the nuts (105).

 (b)
 Turn the rod (103) until the locking lever (101) engages in the rack (102).

 (c)
 Tighten the nuts (105).

 (d)
 Safety the nuts (105) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).

 (3)
 If the locking lever (101) does not engage after these steps:

 (a)
 Remove the circlip (106).

 (b)
 Loosen the nut (107).

 (c)
 Turn the eccentric (108) until the locking lever (101) engages in the rack (102).

 (d)
 Make sure that the clearance J7 between the rack (102) and the side of the rail (104) is 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.) minimum. If the clearance J7 is not in the tolerance, turn the rod until the locking lever (101) engages in the rack (102).

 (e)
 TORQUE the nut (107) to between 0.4 and 0.5 m.daN (35.39 and

 44.24 lbf.in).

 (f)
 Safety the nut (107) with BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-002A).

 (g)
 Install the circlip (106).

 F. Sealing Check
 (1)
 Close the sliding window

 (2)
 Apply water to the periphery of the sliding window from the outside of the aircraft

 (3)
 Wait ten minutes and make sure that there is no water leakage at level of the window frame.

 (4)
 If water goes into the cockpit, make sure that the adjustments are correct and that the seal is in the correct condition.

 (5) Dry if necessary.

 G. Installation of the Aft Upper Rail
 (Ref. Fig. 409/TASK 56-12-11-991-067)

 (1)
 Remove the nuts (57) the bolts (54), (55) and the aft upper rail (56).

 (2)
 Apply a light coat of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-019) between the upper surface of the rail (56) and the frame.

 (3)
 Install the aft upper rail (56) on its support.

 (4)
 Install the bolts (54),(55) the nuts (57) and tighten them.

 (5)
 Remove the film that protects the sliding window.

 (1) Installation of the sliding window lining (16)
 (a)
 Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.

 (b)
 Connect the sensor (10).

 (c)
 Lift the plate (17) and put the sliding window lining (16) in position.

 (d)
 Put the plate (17) in position, install the screws (12) and tighten them.

 (e)
 Install the screws (11) and tighten them.

 (f)
 Install the washer (2) and the screw (3).

 (g)
 Tighten the screw (3).

 (h)
 Install the blanking plug (4).

 (i)
 Open the sliding window.

 (j)
 Install the guide (13) on the sliding window lining (16) with the washer (14) and the screw (15).
