Put the adjustable access platform in position below the applicable wing leading edge, zones 521 (621) and 522 (622).
(2)
Remove the applicable access panels:

for the left wing, 521AB, 521CB, 521EB, 522AB, 522CB, 522FB, 522KB, 522LB, 522NB, 522QB, 522SB, 522UB
-
for the right wing, 621AB, 621CB, 621EB, 622AB, 622CB, 622FB, 622KB, 622LB, 622NB, 622QB, 622SB, 622UB.

A. Preparation for Inspection
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1) Use a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) to clean the upper and lower surfaces of the bottom skin.

B. Inspection
(1) Examine the upper and lower surfaces of the bottom skin. Make sure that:
-
there is no corrosion
-
there are no cracks
-
there is no distortion
-
there are no loose or damaged fasteners
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.

NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the

(2) Examine the sighting-rod holes in rib bays 8-9 and 26-27. Make sure that:
-
there is no corrosion
-
there are no cracks
-
there is no distortion or damage to the edges of the holes
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the

correct repair procedure.
(3) Examine the lifting-beam holes to make sure that:
-
there is no corrosion
-
there are no cracks
-
there is no distortion or damage to the edge of the hole
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 572100) for the

correct repair procedure.
(4) Examine the drain holes to make sure that:
-the holes are clear
-
there are no signs of fuel leakage
-
there is no corrosion
-
there is no distortion, or damage to the edges of the holes
-the surface protection is in the correct condition.
