 E. Aircraft Configuration
 (1)
 Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

 For the access panel 540HB(640HB):

 -refuel the applicable wing tank to high level cut-off (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003).

 For the access panel 540JB(640JB) (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003):

 -
refuel the applicable wing tank to 6300 kg (13889.1186 lb) or

 -
refuel the applicable wing tank to high level cut-off.

 For the access panels 540KB(640KB) thru 540RB(640RB):

 -
refuel the applicable wing tank outer cell to 700 kg (1543.2354 lb) or

 -
refuel the applicable wing tank to high level cut-off (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003).

 For the access panel 550AB(650AB):

 -refuel the applicable wing tank to high level and let the fuel tanker stay connected to the aircraft (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003) and (Ref. TASK 28-12-47-400-001).

 For the access panels 550BB(650BB) and 550DB(650DB):

 -refuel the applicable wing tank to high level and let the fuel tanker stay connected to the aircraft (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003).

 For the access panel 550CB(650CB):

 -refuel the applicable wing tank to high level and let the fuel tanker stay connected to the aircraft (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003) and (Ref. TASK 28-12-45-400-002).

 F. Preparation for Test
 (1)
 For the access panel 540HB(640HB), refer to (Ref. TASK 28-12-46-400-001).

 If the access panel(s) 540HB(640HB) thru to 540RB(640RB) have been removed, refuel the applicable wing tank fully (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003).

 For the access panel 550AB(650AB), refer to (Ref. TASK 28-12-47-400-001).

 If the access panel 550AB(650AB) has been removed, do the steps that follow:

 (a)
 Refuel the applicable wing tank fully and keep the fuel tanker connected to the aircraft (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003).

 (b)
 Put a container on the access platform below the applicable water drain valve 21QM (22QM). Use the PURGING TOOL (97A28002117002) to open the water drain valve (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

 (c)
 On panel 800VU:

 -
put the MODE SELECT switch to REFUEL

 -
put the applicable wing tank REFUEL VALVES switch to the OPEN position

 -
put the opposite wing tank REFUEL VALVES switch to the SHUT position

 -
put the TEST switch to the HI LVL position and hold it there

 -make sure that the applicable HI LVL light goes out.

 (d)
 Set the fuel tanker to its lowest flow-rate and pressure. Make sure that the fuel flows into the vent surge tank and out of the water drain valve 21QM (22QM) (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

 (e)
 On panel 800VU:

 -put the applicable wing tank REFUEL VALVES switch to the SHUT position
 -make sure that the fuel-flow from the water drain valve decreases and stops.

 (f)
 Close the water drain valve (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003) and remove the PURGING TOOL.

 (g)
 Put a container on the access platform below the applicable NACA vent in the surge tank.

 (h)
 On the panel 800VU:

 -put the applicable wing tank REFUEL VALVES switch to the OPEN position
 -make sure that the opposite wing tank REFUEL VALVES switch is in the SHUT position
 -hold the TEST switch in the HI LVL position.

 (i)
 Set the fuel tanker to its lowest flow rate and pressure. Let 50l (13.2084 USgal) of fuel flow into the vent surge tank. Make sure that fuel flows out of the NACA vent.
