R  new lockwasher (10). 
R  (e) Loosely install the lockwasher (10) and the locknut (9). 
R  (f) Put the locking device (12) in position on the spherical bearing

R  (98D27507541000) to torque the locknut (9) to between 8.0 and 
R  10.0 m.daN (58.99 and 73.74 lbf.ft). 
R  (l) Safety the locknut (9) with the lockwasher (10).

 

R R  (m) Do a no-load Breakaway Torque of the spherical bearing (11) to 0.75 m.daN (66.37 lbf.in) maximum. 
R R  (n) Apply a bead of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-002) around the lock nut (9). 
R R  (o) Apply STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-003) to the bead seal around the locknut (9). 
R R  (p) Apply red STRUCTURE PAINTS (Material No. 16-016), as shown, to the spherical bearing (11).

R R  (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items. 
R  (2) Install the outboard flap (Ref. TASK 27-54-62-400-002).

 A. Forward Fixed Fairings
 The forward fixed fairings are made of a thermo-plastic. A silicon rubber seal is riveted to the top edge, and touches the outer wing bottom skin. A steel slider-spigot near the forward end, attaches to the bottom skin.

 B. Flap Track Fairings
 The flap track fairings 2, 3 and 4 are attached to fittings (Ref. 57-26-00) on the bottom surface of the wing.
 The flap track fairings are:
