Install the packing (3) and then the packing (2) on the speed sensor N1 (4).

 (c)  
Make sure the two screws (5) are fully retracted on the speed sensor N1 (4).

 NOTE: The two screws (5) are fully retracted when the two
____ screws do not touch the surface of the load gearbox.
 (d)  
Install the speed sensor N1 (4) in the load gearbox.

 (e)  
Install the two nuts (6) that attach the speed sensor N1 (4) to the load gearbox. 1) Tighten the two nuts (6) to 32-36 inch-pounds (3.6-4.1

 newton-meters).

 (f)  
Connect the electrical connector D95018 (P18) (1) to the speed sensor N1 (4). 1) Tighten the electrical connector D95018 (P18) (1) until you

 cannot see the red color band.
 E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6-2 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6K18, APU ALTN CONT

 (b)  
P83 Aft APU Equipment Control and Circuit Breaker Panel 1) APU PRIME CONT

 (2)  
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 overhead panel.

 (3)  
Close the left APU access door, 317AL, and right APU access door, 318AR:

 (a)  
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the right access door.

 (b)  
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the right APU compartment bulkhead.

 (c)  Lift the right access door until you can install the lanyard on the pin at the aft APU compartment bulkhead.
 NOTE: The lanyard will hold the right access door on the
____ APU compartment bulkhead.
 (d)  
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the left access door.

 (e)  
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the left APU compartment bulkhead.

 (f)  
Make sure the insulation covers are correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

 (g)  
Lift the left access door until the two APU access doors are approximately aligned.

 (h)  
Close the two APU access doors.

 (i)  
Close the six latches on the right access door.
