Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the left access door.

 (e)  
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the left APU compartment bulkhead.

 (f)  
Make sure the insulation covers are correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

 (g)  
Lift the left access door until the two APU access doors are approximately aligned.

 (h)  
Close the two APU access doors.

 (i)  
Close the six latches on the right access door.

Inspect the outer and inner liners of the acoustic liner (1):

 (a)  
Cracks or damage at the ends of the acoustic liner (1) are not permitted.

 (b)  
Three cracks are permitted in the acoustic liner (1) and agree with these conditions: 1) Each crack with a length less than 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) is

 permitted.

 (c) (d) (e)  2) The permitted distance between each crack must be a minimum of 6.0 inches (15.2 cm).One crack in the acoustic liner (1), with a length less than 12 inches (30.5 cm), is permitted.Three areas with separation are permitted on the acoustic liner (1) and agree with these conditions: 1) Each area with a separation that is less than 3.0 square inches (19.4 square cm) is permitted. 2) The permitted distance between each area with separation must be a minimum of 6.0 inches (15.2 cm).Damaged areas are permitted if the distance from the ends of the acoustic liner (1) to each damage area is more than 1.5 inches (3.8 cm).

 (3)  If you find the above permitted cracks or damaged areas, replace the acoustic liner (1) in the subsequent 100 hours of APU operation.

 APU EXHAUST V-BAND CLAMP - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure gives a task to do an inspection of the V-band clamp for the APU exhaust duct.
 B.  The V-band clamp connects the exhaust duct to the exhaust port. You can get access to the V-band clamp through the APU access doors.
