Remove the two quick-release pins from the two brackets on the left APU compartment bulkhead.
(d)
Connect the two hold-open rods from the left access door to the two brackets and install the two quick-release pins.
(e)
Push the right access door up and remove the lanyard from the pin on the aft APU compartment bulkhead.
(f)
Open the right access door to the fully open position and remove the two hold-open rods from the two clips.
(g)
Remove the two quick-release pins from the two brackets on the right APU compartment bulkhead.

(h) Connect the two hold-open rods from the right access door to the two brackets and install the two quick-release pins.

Remove the diverter valve control (11):
(a)
Put the container under the diverter valve control.
(b)
Disconnect the P21 electrical connector (22) from the electrical socket (23) on the diverter valve control (11).
(c)
Disconnect the fuel supply tube (5) from the nipple (7).
(d)
Disconnect the fuel return tube (6) from the nipple (7).
(e)
Disconnect the Pc air tube (14) from the reducer (13).
(f)
Disconnect the drain line (20) from the elbow (19).
(g)
Disconnect the sense line (30) from the elbow (29).
(h)
Remove the bolts (3) that attach the diverter valve control (11) and the bracket (2) to the load compressor case.
(i)
Turn the diverter valve control (11) and the bracket (2) up and remove as an assembly.
NOTE: It can be necessary to move the diverter valve
____ control from side to side until it is loose. The adapter can come off at the same time the diverter valve control is removed.
1) Remove and discard the packing (24).
(j) Remove the adapter (25).
1) Remove and discard the packing (24A).

Remove the nuts (10) and the bolts (1 and 1A) that attach the bracket (2) to the diverter valve control (11).

Remove the nipples (7) from the fuel supply port (4) and the fuel return port (9). 1) Remove and discard the packings (8).

Remove the reducer (13) from the Pc air port (15). 1) Remove and discard the packing (12).
(c)
Remove the elbow (19), the nut (18), the ring (17), and the packing (16) from the drain outlet (21). 1) Discard the packing (16) and the ring (17).
(d)
Remove the elbow (29), the nut (28), the ring (27), and the packing (26) from the diverter valve control (11). 1) Discard the packing (26) and the ring (27).

(7) Install caps and plugs on the disconnected tubes, the connectors, and the openings to prevent contamination.
