Remove the caps and plugs from the tubes, the connectors, and the openings.

Install the fuel pump (16):

 (a)  
Set the fuel pump (16) in its position on the accessory gearbox.

 (b)  
Install the bracket, the washers (2), and the nuts (1).

 1)  Tighten the nuts (1) to 150-170 pound-inches (17.0-19.2 N.m).

 (c)  
Lubricate the new packing (4) with engine fuel.

 (d)  
Install the packing (4) on the nipple (5).

 (e)  
Install the nipple (5) in the fuel supply port (7).

 1)  Tighten the nipple (5) to 375-425 pound-inches (42.4-48.0 N.m).

 (f)  Connect the fuel supply tube (6) to the nipple (5).
 NOTE: Make sure the threads and mating surfaces of the tube
____ assembly are free from dirt and grease.
 1)  Lubricate the threads of the nipple (5) and tube (6) coupling nut with antigalling compound.
 NOTE: Make sure the mating surfaces and the inner area of
____ the supply tube are free from antigalling compound. Do not bake the compound.
 2) Do the steps that follow two times: a) Tighten the tube (6) coupling nut to 675-750 pound-inches (76.3-84.8 newton meters). b) Loosen the the tube (6) coupling nut to 0 pound-inches (0 newton meters). 3) Disconnect the tube (6) coulping nut, and remove all signs of the antigalling compound. 4) Lubricate the threads of the nipple (5) and the tube (6) coupling nut with engine oil. 5) Tighten the tube (6) coupling nut to 900-1000 pound-inches (101.7-113 newton meters).
 (g)  
Lubricate the new packing (14) with engine fuel.

 (h)  
Install the packing (14), the new ring (13), the nut (12), and the elbow (11) in the drain outlet (15). 1) Tighten the nut (12) to 38-42 pound-inches (22.6-24.9 N.m).

 (i)  
Connect the fuel drain line (10) to the elbow (11).

 1)  Tighten the line (10) to 270-300 pound-inches (31-34 newton-meters).

 (j)  
Remove the nuts (17) from the fuel pump (16).

 (k)  
Install the bracket (18) and the nuts (17) on the fuel pump (16). 1) Tighten the nuts (17) to 90-100 pound-inches (10-11 N.m).

 (l)  
Connect the P3 electrical connector (8) to the filter bypass indicator (9). 1) Tighten the connector (8) with your hand.

 NOTE: The connector is fully tight when you cannot see
____
 the red color band.

 FUEL MANIFOLD AND NOZZLE ADAPTERS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure contains the tasks to remove and install the fuel
 manifolds and the nozzle adapters.

 B.  The primary and the secondary fuel manifolds are installed adjacent to each other around the outer surface of the gas generator case. There are 14 nozzle adapters that connect the two fuel manifolds.
 C.  You can get access to the fuel manifolds and the nozzle adapters through the APU access doors and around the gas generator case.
