Procedure

 CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY.
_______ IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS, DAMAGE TO THE APU CAN OCCUR.
 (1)  
Do these steps to install the differential pressure indicator (3):

 (a)  
Lubricate the two new packings (1), (2) with a light coat of oil.

 (b)  
Install the packing (2) and then the packing (1) on the differential pressure indicator (3).

 (c)  
Install the differential pressure indicator (3) in the adapter and oil filter housing. 1) Tighten the differential pressure indicator (3) to 200-225

 inch-pounds (22.6-25.4 newton-meters).

Install the lockwire on the differential pressure indicator (3).

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1)
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

 (a)  
P6-2 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6K18, APU ALTN CONT

 (b)  
P83 Aft APU Equipment Control and Circuit Breaker Panel 1) APU PRIME CONT

 (2)  
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU control switch on the P5 overhead panel.

 (3)  
Close the left APU access door, 317AL, and right APU access door, 318AR:

 (a)  
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the right access door.

 (b)  
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the right APU compartment bulkhead.

 (c)  
Lift the right access door until you can install the lanyard on the pin at the aft APU compartment bulkhead.

 NOTE: The lanyard will hold the right access door on the APU
____
 compartment bulkhead.

 (d)  
Remove the two quick-release pins, disconnect the two hold-open rods and put the two hold-open rods in the two clips on the left access door.

 (e)  
Install the two quick-release pins in the two brackets on the left APU compartment bulkhead.

 (f)  
Make sure the insulation covers are correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.

 (g)  
Lift the left access door until the two APU access doors are approximately aligned.

 (h)  
Close the two APU access doors.

 (i)  
Close the six latches on the right access door.

 OIL FILTER DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE INDICATOR - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure has the task to do an inspection of the differential pressure indicator for the oil filter. When the oil filter element is contaminated or clogged, a pop-up button extends from the differential pressure indicator.
 B.  The differential pressure indicator for the oil filter is on the oil filter housing. The location of the oil filter housing is on the bottom right side of the accessory gearbox.
