Remove the third wire from its ground connection. 1) Make a record of the color of the sensor wire. 2) Put a tag on the location of the ground connection to help

 you during the installation.

 (g)  
Attach a pull-line to the electrical leads.

 NOTE: The pull-line will help you pull the wires for the new
____ sensor through the conduit during installation. Make sure the line is longer than the length of the conduit. You can attach something to the free end of the pull-line to stop the line at the end of the conduit.

Do these steps to remove the sensor from the mounting bracket:

 (a)  
Remove the lockwire from the sensor on the lock brace assembly.

 (b)  
Loosen the retaining nut to remove the switch from the mounting bracket.

 (c)  
Carefully pull the sensor wires through the conduit.

 NOTE: Do not pull the free end of the pull-line out through
____
 the conduit.

 1) Disconnect the pull-line from the sensor wires.
 (d)  Remove the sensor, nut, washer, and shims from the mounting bracket. 1) Keep the shims for the installation of the new sensor.

Install the Sensor (Fig. 401)

Do these steps to install the sensor in the mounting bracket:

 (a)  
Install the shim(s) that you kept from the removal and put the sensor into the mounting bracket.

 (b)  
Install the washer and the nut.

 (c)  
Do a check of the sensor to target clearance and make sure it is correct, as shown on Fig. 401. 1) If it is necessary, add or remove shims to adjust the

 sensor to target clearance.

 (d) (e)  Make sure the target has not moved in an axial direction and is attached tightly to the lock brace. 1) If it is necessary, adjust the target (Ref 32-33-51/401).Tighten the nut and install lockwire.

 (2)  Do these steps to put the sensor wires through the conduit: (a) Twist the sensor leads together. (b) Attach the pull-line that you used for the removal of the sensor to the sensor leads.
 (c) (d) (e)  From the electronic equipment center side of the wheel well, carefully pull the sensor wires through the conduit.If the sensor wires are too long, cut the wires to the correct length.Install splices to connect the sensor wires to the airplane wires.
 (f)  Install the third wire (yellow) at the ground connection.

 (3)  Make sure the control lever for the landing gear is in the DN position.

 (4)  Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers: (a) AURAL WARNING (b) GEAR SWITCH & ANTISKID TEST (c) LIGHTS

 (5)  Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 (6)  Look at the indicator lights for the landing gear, in the flight compartment, above the landing gear lever. (a) Make sure that all the green lights are on. (b) Make sure the red lights are not on.
