Prepare for the Installation.

 S 434-022
 (1)  
Prepare the trunnion fork bolt (14) for the installation.

 (a)  
Examine the O-rings (16) on the lubrication insert (15) for worn areas or damage.

 NOTE: Replace the O-rings if it is necessary.

 (b)  
Apply grease on the O-rings (16), the outer surface of the lubrication insert (15), and the inner surface of the trunnion fork bolts (14).

 (c)  
Move the O-rings (16) on the lubrication insert (15).

 (d)  
Lubricate again if it is necessary.

 (e)  
Put the lubrication insert (15) with the O-rings (16) into the trunnion fork bolt (14) to assemble the fork bolt.

 S 434-023
 (2)  
Prepare the drag brace bolt (11) for installation.

 (a)  
Examine the O-rings (13) on the lubrication insert (12) for worn areas or damaged areas.

 NOTE: Replace the O-rings if it is necessary.

 (b)  
Apply grease on the O-rings (13), the outer surface of the lubrication insert (12), and the inner surface of the drag brace bolt (11).

 (c)  
Move the O-rings (13) on the lubrication insert (12).

 (d)  
Lubricate if it is necessary.

 (e)  
Put the lubrication insert (12) with the O-rings (13) into the drag brace bolt (11).

 G. Procedure
 S 434-024
 (1) Install the bearing housing for the wing gear (AMM 57-43-01/401).
 NOTE: It is necessary to have an oversized retaining nut (6) for
____ the repaired housing (1). The oversized nuts have the identification of a groove (0.06 inch radius) on the face of the nut between two of the 6 slots (Fig. 404).

Examine the attach points for wear limits (AMM 32-11-19/601).

 (3)  
Put the bearing retaining nut (6) on the trunnion fork (7) at the bearing end.

 (4)
Assemble the bearing outer race (5) on the trunnion fork (7) .

 NOTE: Hold the halves together with lockwire or strong tape
