Remove the downlock actuator (AMM 32-32-15/401).

Disconnect the hydraulic lines from the hydraulic swivel (1).

 NOTE: Put a cap on the lines and the fittings.

 (3)  Remove the short lines upstream of the swivel to permit clearance for the spindle removal.
 NOTE: Put a cap on the fittings.

Pull the hydraulic lines through the hose clamps.

Remove the screws to disconnect the primary and the alternate downlock sensors (3).

Release two 1/4 turn cam locks to remove the cover from the junction shield (5).

Disconnect the junction shield from the jury strut.

Loosen the conduit clamp (7) at the spindle (6).

Attach the conduit (8), the junction shield (5), the conduit

 and the sensors (3) to the shock strut.

Attach the bungee clamp to the downlock bungee.

 WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU HOLD THE PARTS SUFFICIENTLY BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE
_______ JOINT PINS. THE SIDE STRUT COMPONENT WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 305 POUNDS. THE BUNGEE IS SPRING-LOADED. FAILURE TO DO THAT CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

 Attach the sling to the strut component assembly and hold it with the hoist.

 Remove three nuts and the bolts to disassemble the side plates (10) of the truck lock and the related components.

 Remove the lockbolt, the spindle bolt (16) and the truck lock components.

 Disconnect the spindle (6) from the shock strut.

 (14)
 Remove the spindle nut and the washer for the upper side strut.

 Pull the spindle (2) from the structure and remove the strut component assembly from the airplane.
