 (3)  S 494-038Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Body Landing Gear" (Ref 32-00-30/201).
 (4)  S 644-014Lubricate new T-ring and O-ring seals with hydraulic oil.
 (5)  S 644-015Apply a light layer of petrolatum on seals.
 (6)  S 424-016Put the seals on the adapter of the air charging valve and the upper bulkhead.
 (7)  S 434-017Set the air valve adapter into the shock strut and keep the tube end down and vertical.
 (8)  S 624-018Apply corrosion preventive compound to threads of the mounting nut on the air valve.
 (9)  S 434-019Install the mounting nut on the air valve with new o'ring seal and tighten to 50-70 pound-foot torque.

 Apply a bead of corrosion preventive compound fully around the flange corner of the packing retainer.

 (11)
 Install the packing retainer with new O-ring seals.

 Apply a small quantity of corrosion preventive compound to the threads of the upper bulkhead nut.

 Lift the upper bulkhead in its position on top of the shock strut.

 Apply a brush layer bead of corrosion preventive compound fully around the joint.

 Install the upper bulkhead nut.

Use a torque adapter and tighten the nut from 105 to 125 pound-feet torque.
