B. Get Access
(1)
Remove the necessary equipment and furnishing to get access to the cabin floor panels.
(2)
Remove the floor panels 241MF, 241LF, 241KF, 241JF, 242KF, 242LF, 242MF (Ref. TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
(3)
Disconnect the electrical wire bundles from the floor beams at FR42 and FR43, as necessary, to get access to the inspection area.

C. Preparation of the Inspection Areas

(1) Make sure that the surfaces of the inspection areas are clean and smooth.

WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A GOOD FLOW OF AIR THROUGH THE WORK
_______ AREA WHEN YOU USE SPECIAL MATERIALS. IF YOU GET ONE OF THESE MATERIALS ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES : -FLUSH IT AWAY WITH A FLOW OF CLEAN WATER FOR BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MINUTES. -GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL AID IF IRRITATION OCCURS. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE MATERIAL. DO NOT SMOKE WHEN YOU USE THE MATERIAL. DO NOT USE THE MATERIAL NEAR A FLAME, SPARKS OR SOURCES OF HEAT. THESE MATERIALS ARE DANGEROUS : THEY ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANTS.
(2)
If necessary, clean the inspection areas with the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003). Make sure the areas are dry before you continue.
(3)
If necessary, make the surface of the inspection areas smooth with the abrasive cloth, grade 280.
(4)
Make sure that the inspection areas are clean and dry before you continue.
(5)
Do a visual inspection of the surfaces of the inspection areas. Look for damage and defects in the shape of the surfaces.
(6)
If you find damage:
(a)
Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-11-00-001) for the classification of the damage.
(b)
If you find corrosion damage:
-
refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-22-00-001)for the general corrosion data
-
refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-74-00-001) for the repair of the corroded areas.
(c)
If you find other types of damage:
-Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-73-00-001) for the repair of the minor damage.

A. Special Detailed Inspection Procedure
(1) Do the inspection:
(a)
Do the special detailed inspection (Ref. NTM 533110-Part.6) of the upper flanges of the longitudinal floor beams at FR42 and FR46.
(b)
Do the inspection on the upper and lower surfaces and along the edges on both sides of the upper flange.
(c)
Do the inspection only in the areas of the upper flange that you can see.
(d)
Do not inspect the areas of the upper flange which are below the seat-track support fittings.
NOTE : If the inspection areas are painted, before you do the
____
inspection you must:
-refer to the procedure steps in the NTM (Ref. NTM 533110-Part.6), 'Preparation for Inspection'
-measure the thickness of the paint at the inspection areas
-make sure that the paint thickness is less than the given limit.
