Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:
1) P6 Panel a) FLAP VALVES b) ALT TE FLAP DRIVE AC
(b)
Put the ALTERNATE FLAP arm switch in the ARM position.
(c)
Use the ALTERNATE FLAP control switch to move the flaps until the forward cam follower bearings align with the access holes.

Remove the toggle assembly:
(a)
Remove the two forward cam follower bearings on the toggle assembly.
(b)
Move the toggle assembly forward until the aft cam follower bearings align with the access holes.
(c)
Remove the two aft cam follower bearings from the toggle assembly.
(d)
Remove the toggle assembly from the carriage.

If you will install used bushings or bearings, examine them for worn areas (Ref 27-51-07/601).

Install the toggle assembly:
(a)
Install the aft cam follower bearings:
1) Put the toggle in a position where the bearings align with the access holes.

2) Apply a layer of the grease on the threads and shank of the
bearings. 3) Install the bushings on the shanks of the bearings. 4) Put the bearings and the bushings in their position. 5) Install the washers and the nuts on the bearings. 6) Tighten the nuts to 50-100 pound-inches. 7) Install the cotter pins.
(b) Install the forward cam follower bearings: 1) Move the toggle until the bearings align with the access holes. 2) Apply a layer of the grease on the threads and shank of the
bearings. 3) Install the bushings on the shanks of the bearings. 4) Put the bearings and the bushings in their position. 5) Install the washers and the nuts on the bearings. 6) Tighten the nuts to 50-100 pound-inches. 7) Install the cotter pins.

Lubricate the cam follower bearings and the track roller bearing (Ref 12-22-51/301).

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
(1)
Supply the system B hydraulic power (Ref 27-51-00/201).
(2)
Put the flap control lever in the UP detent to retract the flaps.
(3)
Remove the system B hydraulic power (Ref 27-51-00/201).
(4)
Install the inboard flap track fairing (Ref 27-51-32/401).
