Connect the boom end fitting to the structure:
(a)
Adjust the boom end fitting if it is necessary.
(b)
Apply a layer of the grease to the bolt.
(c)
Install the bolt with the head on the inboard side.
(d)
Install the bushing on the outboard side of the bolt.
(e)
Install the washer under the nut on the bolt.
(f)
Install the nut on the bolt.
(g)
Install the lockwire on the boom end fitting checknut.

Remove the rig pins F-5 and F-6 from the boom.

Connect the two rods to the inboard aftflap.

A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is a task for the removal and a task for the installation of the cables that actuate the aftflap mechanism boom.

(1)
Remove the inboard flap track fairing (AMM 27-51-32/401).
S 034-003
(2)
Remove these access panels from the lower surface of the midflap:
(a)
For the left side: 8403 and 8404
(b)
For the right side: 8503 and 8504

(3)
Supply the system B hydraulic power (AMM 27-51-00/201).

(4)
Put the flap control lever in the 40-unit detent to extend the flaps.
(5)
Remove the system B hydraulic power (AMM 27-51-00/201).

Remove the cables BC-3 and BC-4:
(a)
Loosen the cable adjustment nuts (7) and (10).
(b)
Disconnect the ends of the cables from the cable sockets.
