Install the outboard flap rigging beam on the black stripes at WBL 228.5 on the front and rear spar.

 NOTE: Use tool drawing F80209 to make sure the black stripes
____ are in the correct location on the lower surface of the wing.
 (c)  Make sure the aftflap is in the retracted position:
 1)  Apply a maximum of a 30-pound force up against a 4.0 x 6.0 inch aluminum plate near the aftflap track roller.

 (d) (e) (f) (g)  2) The aftflap is in the retracted position when the clearance between the lower trailing edge of the midflap and the leading edge of the aftflap is 0.00 to 0.13 inch for the full length of the aftflap.Make sure the aftflap flight rollers touch the aftflap track.Make sure a minimum of three flap carriage flight rollers touch the flap track.With the rigging beam, measure the position of the trailing edge of the aftflap.Make sure the trailing edge of the aftflap is 0.00 to 0.25 inch below the wing chord plane.
 NOTE:____ If you cannot get this dimension with the 0.23-inch maximum permitted shim thickness, use a 0.23-inch shim. If you made trim corrections with the outboard TE flaps, the dimension can be more than the 0.00 to 0.25 inch
 limit.
 (h) (i)  Remove the outboard flap rigging beam.Make sure the trailing edge of the opposite flap aligns in the limit of 0.10 inch.
 (j)  With the aftflap in the retracted position, measure the position of the trailing edge of the aftflap and the outboard fixed rib.
 (k)  Make sure the trailing edge of the aftflap is 0.00 to 0.25 inch below the outboard fixed rib.
 NOTE:____ If you cannot get this dimension with the 0.23-inch maximum permitted shim thickness, use a 0.23-inch shim. If you made trim corrections with the outboard TE flaps, the dimension can be more than the 0.00 to 0.25 inch
 limit.
 (l)  Make sure the trailing edge of the opposite flap aligns in the limit of 0.10 inch.

 thickness. 2) The thickness of the shims on the inboard and the outboard carriages must be equal in the limit of 0.12 inch. 3) Remove the access panels from the top surface of the
 midflap. 4) Install a support to hold the flap. 5) Remove the bolts that attach the carriage bearing support
