(d) Put the parking brakes on.
(e) Put the FLT CONTROL A and B and SPOILER A and B switches, on the P5 panel, in the ON
position.
(f) Cycle the flaps from up to 40 to up two times.
NOTE: The leading edge flaps and slats will also move.
(g) Cycle the rudder pedals ten times.
(h) Cycle the control wheel ten times.
(i) Cycle the control column ten times.

(9) Do these steps to put the airplane in its initial condition:
(a) Put the reverse thrust levers in the STOWED position.
(b) Put the stabilizer trim in the green band.
NOTE: The stabilizer indicator is on the control stand.
(c) Set the aileron trim to zero.
NOTE: The aileron trim indicator is on the control wheel.
(d) Set the rudder trim to zero.
NOTE: The rudder trim indicator is on the P8 panel.
(e) Do these steps to turn off the antiskid system:
1) Open these circuit breakers and install safety tags:

(g) Put the A/P ENGAGE switches, on the mode control panel (MCP), in the OFF position.
(h) Put the LANDING GEAR handle, on the P2 panel, in the OFF position.
(i) Put the SPEED BRAKE lever, on the control stand, in the DOWN position.
(j) Put the FLT CONTROL A and B and SPOILER A and B switches, on the P5 panel, in the OFF
position.
(k) Set the flap control lever to 25 units and make sure that the flaps move.
(l) Open this circuit breaker and install safety tag:

(m) Put the arm switch for the ALTERNATE FLAPS in the ARM position.
(n) Set the flap control lever to 40 units (the flaps will not move).
G. Rudder PCU Internal Leakage Check (Hydraulic System B)

(1) Put the FLT CONTROL B switch in the ON position.
NOTE: FLT CONTROL A must be in the OFF position.

(2) Make sure the pressure in system B is a minimum of 2800 psi (19305 kPa).

(3) Put the YAW Damper switch, on the P5 panel, in the ON position.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE RUDDER AND
THE PCU ACTUATORS. THE RUDDER AND PCU ACTUATORS MOVE QUICKLY. THIS
CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Put the YAW DAMPER POWER switch, on the test box, SPL-1805, to the ON position.
NOTE: The red indicator light on the test box should come on.
The rudder might move slowly to the right or left as much as 3 degrees.

(5) Put the RUDDER TRAVEL DIRECTION switch on the test box to the LEFT position.
NOTE: The green indicator light on the test box should come on and the rudder should move to
the left unless it is already at the left position.

(6) When the hydraulic flow becomes stable, record the amperage value from the ammeter as

(7) Push the left rudder pedal until it touches the forward quadrant stop and hold.
